Disney magic is real, even beyond the theme parks.
Need proof? Disney just helped the Make-A-Wish Foundation grant its 500,000th wish!
Over the last 40 years, Disney and Make-A-Wish made more than 140,000 wishes come true, and even though in-person wishes are on pause right now due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney helped a special 16-year-old girl, Karina, put together a virtual “Kamp Karina.” This girl just wanted “to give kids a day to forget they’re sick,” and Disney stepped in to help.
What did they do? The virtual camp was streamed on YouTube and featured a Frozen-inspired drawing class featuring Josh Gad, putting 32 wish kids in the virtual stands for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, a Disney-themed trivia night, and a fireworks show. Watch a full recap of Kamp Karina below.
