Splash Mountain has been pretty big news as of late.
With the upcoming The Princess and the Frog themed refurbishment, Disney World’s Splash Mountain has seen some of the longest lines in a reopened Disney World. Today, though, the line has been cleared as the attraction is currently CLOSED due to technical difficulties.
We were heading over into Frontierland when we spotted the Splash Mountain logs floating by us with no riders.
At first, we weren’t sure whether it was a cleaning cycle or if the attraction was down.

But, as we made our way closer, the logs stopped coming completely…
…and we spotted them piling up in their usual end-of-day spot. Yup, Splash Mountain is definitely down!
We spotted a bunch of Splash Mountain Cast Members hanging out outside the attraction so we swung over to ask one of them what was going on. Apparently, they needed to close for a little while “to fix something” but they’re hoping to be back up and running later today.
It does seem like the attraction will be closed for more than a few minutes as they have completely cleared the queue as well.
What a weird sight in a reopened Disney World!
