Since Disney World began its phased reopening, several new services have appeared in the parks as well as on My Disney Experience to provide a more convenient, contact-free dining experience. These services include Mobile Order To Go, Mobile Dine Check-In, and Mobile Dine Walk-Up.
Our phone happened to buzz while we were in Magic Kingdom, and upon checking our notifications we discovered another way Disney is assisting in a guests’ dining experience in the parks and resorts.
It looks like guests can now receive a push notification about day-of dining reservation availability for table service restaurants!
When you tap on the notification, it takes you straight to My Disney Experience where it asks how many individuals are in your party and to pick either the meal you’re looking to eat or the time you wish to dine.
So if you don’t happen to have an Advance Dining Reservation on a particular day, Disney is now making it easier to quickly see which restaurants in your area still have reservations available!

Any suggestions or help with making reservations for 2 guests for the candlelight processional dinner/vip guaranteed seating event?
I’ve been trying since Oct 26 when narrators were first announced! Every day, Constantine refreshing and trying. So frustrated! Since only 4 restaurants are participating it really is difficult!
We don’t want to give up as this is our Anniversary and Christmas gift to each other . It’s also OUR 50th wedding anniversary! 😊
I have pass and reservations for Dec 2 or Dec 15.
Is this impossible?!
Thanks for any advice or insight. !!

Rick & Eileen, first: happy 50th anniversary! I hope you’ll have a wonderful trip. Regarding Candlelight Processional Dining Packages: my guess would be that they’re sold out. You can keep checking in case something opens up, but as you pointed out, only having four restaurants this year has really put a squeeze on the capacity for Packages. You may want to consider an alternative dinner/show by booking a restaurant in World Showcase that feels special to you, then getting in line for a seat for the show. You could even grab a dessert or two along the way and eat it while in line to help pass the time. I do hope a Dining Package option will open up for you, though!
