But, until then, we’ve been enjoying grabbing TONS of cookies from their current location at the East End Market in Orlando. If you were looking for a great excuse to visit and stuff your face with cookies, we’ve got just the thing. In a few days, Gideon’s will be hosting a special event and releasing a super special cookie all for charity!
This weekend, Gideon’s is bringing back what they call their “favorite event” — Black Cat Charity Day! The event will take place on Sunday, October 25th, starting at 10 AM at their East End Market location.

On Black Cat Charity Day, Gideon’s will be releasing their super special Black Cat Cookie. This cookie is only released ONCE A YEAR, so if you want to taste it, this is your chance! Details about the cookie will be released later, but if it’s anything close to Gideon’s other creations, it’ll likely be INSANELY delicious!

And the best part? 100% of the sales of the Black Cat Cookie go to the charity! Specifically, Gideon’s will be supporting Liberation Cat House, a 501(c)(3) organization that works to save at-risk cats and kittens in Central Florida.

According to their website, Liberation Cat House works to foster cats that are sick or medically needy until they’re healthy enough to be placed in a forever home. To top off an already fantastic event, on Black Cat Charity Day, Liberation Cat House will be in the courtyard at the East End Market with some adorable kitties ready for adoption!

So, if you’re looking to bring home a friend to watch Halloween (and eventually Christmas) movies with and play with for the rest of their adorable cat life, you’ll definitely want to come and check them out! Cookies + cats + charity = it’s a perfect combination!
