The global health crisis continues to affect the travel industry. As it stands, many international airlines haven’t yet resumed flights to the US. Thus, it’s more difficult for international guests to get to Disney World.
And although some governments are starting to consider how to resume select flights to and from the US soon, it may take up to a year or longer for international airlines to do so.
One of those airlines is Qantas, which primarily flies to and from Australia. According to ABC News, Qantas is unlikely to resume flights to the US or the UK for at least another year. This means that it could be quite sometime before many Australian travelers can make it to Disney World.
Qantas Group Boss Alan Joyce said, “For some of our big destinations like the United States and the UK, it’s going to need a vaccine given the high prevalence of the virus in both of those locations. But we are getting more and more confident about the opportunities and the potential for a vaccine in helping getting those operations up by potentially by the end of 2021.”
Many countries have banned travel to the U.S. and continue to do so. And many places around the world, such as the UK have quarantine restrictions for those traveling from the US requiring a 14-day quarantine period. As this situation continues to change, we’ll keep you updated on the latest.

Emma-Louise Campbell says
Yep im in australia and am supposed to be in LA in July 2021 for the world championship of performing arts ( which went virtual this year due to COVID) i had planned after that to hit up disneyland and then Alaska before heading home. now everything is up in the air. if we cant travel to the US or the UK i might stay local ( NZ or other states of Aus) or try other locations that are available to us such as Japan.
Very disappointing that our economy and health has recovered significantly and we cant travel to LA etc or connect via them to other destinations
