It’s no secret that with Halloween fast approaching, Disney World parks have been getting a lot busier!
We’re already seeing parks fill up for Halloween, but even this week has been pretty busy! We were at Magic Kingdom today, and we’ve got some photos and video of the crowds we saw there!
In Fantasyland, the line for the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel was wrapped TWICE around the carousel.
And, y’all — there was even a line for Mickey’s PhilharMagic. That’s the first line we’ve seen for that attraction in a LONG time.
There was a 45-minute wait for Astro Orbiter.
The wait time for Barnstormer over in Storybook Circus said 25 minutes.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant only had a wait time of 20 minutes.
However, the line for Splash Mountain stretched all the way to Frontierland with a wait time of 90 minutes! We think everyone is trying to ride this attraction as many times as possible before it gets re-themed.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction was down temporarily, but when it came back up, it’s wait time was only 25 minutes, which isn’t TOO bad.
Of course, some of these long lines just look that way due to social distancing guidelines. But in general, the park felt more crowded today.
However, we still noticed that guests were doing their best to physically distance themselves from other guests, even during character cavalcades.
We expect these crowds will continue through Halloween and into the holidays, especially with park passes filling up through the rest of the year. Magic Kingdom is almost always at the top of everyone’s favorite park list, ESPECIALLY during the holidays, so we expect to see these crowds at least through January 1st. Do keep in mind, that although the parks look crowded, Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek has shared that capacity is still capped at 25%.
We’ll keep you updated on crowds at the parks!

Ahhh a return to yesteryear. This is what it was like in the first week in December 1990. I have returned every year since and worst of the crowds was about 3-4 years ago. Other than the masks, the photos could be 30 years ago.

I was also in the park and it was really crowded and impossible to stay distanced. By late afternoon a lot were not properly wearing mask. Many were walking eating and many children were not being made to keep their masks on. Unless they were getting on a ride or going in a store, people were not being told by cast members to keep covered.
If you are at all anxious about being out in public, do not go to the Magic Kingdom.

My husband and I went to all 4 parks last week. Honestly, the lines were terrible. It would really help if Disney would couple fastpasses with park reservations. We decided that 90 minutes for the Haunted Mansion was too long a wait and could barely find the end to get in line anyway. We were unsuccessful for any ride in Hollywood Studios as well.
The upside is the more photographers were ready and willing to take magic shots.

Was very disappointed to find that all major lines were 60-90 minutes with park at 25% capacity when I went . Was unable to do any of the big rides due to long lines and wait times. Also, you have to wait in line to enter stores due to limited capacity ! I should have expected this but I didn’t.
I know there are usually lines but because of distancing they seem to be longer and move slower.
Also for parents of young children, if your child isn’t used to wearing a mask in the Florida heat all day this can be really tough and staff does keep an eye on this.
