Hello explorers! We’re back with another what’s new in Animal Kingdom!
We visited the park to check out the latest food and merchandise, and ended up finding something shocking! Let’s get started on the Animal Kingdom updates!
Animal Kingdom Food Update
Joffrey’s
At the Animal Kingdom Joffrey’s location in Asia across from Yak & Yeti, we found an old favorite from previous years…the Frozen Matcha!
This drink is made with green tea and was marked as “limited time only.” We have not seen this drink at any other Joffrey’s location yet, but we will be on the lookout! You can grab the 16-ounce frozen drink for $5.69.
Here is another Joffrey’s treat you can grab in the parks
Pandora Cart
We noticed the cart in Pandora that usually sells fruit, frozen fruit pops, and other snacks and drinks was selling something new. This location was selling coffee! We found this sign on the cart in the morning…
…but when we came back later in the day the sign was gone. If you don’t want to wait in a line at Starbucks, this is a great way to grab coffee quickly. The cart sells a cup of coffee for $3.50.

Satu’li Canteen
While Satu’li Canteen did not have any menu changes, we did notice a new sign places outside the restaurant. Now, tables at the restaurant can only be occupied with guests ordering and eating from Satu’li Canteen.
Luckily, there are plenty of places to relax and sit down to eat in Animal Kingdom, but if you grab food elsewhere in Pandora, prepare to find a different place to sit.

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Discovery Trading Company
With all of the new holiday merchandise Disney is releasing in parks and online, we were on the lookout for some holiday merchandise on our visit! In Discovery Trading Company, we found the brand new Animal Kingdom Starbucks Travel Mug and Ornament!
This mug features the Starbucks logo on one side, and a map with Animal Kingdom icons on the other. The mug features attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest, and The Tree of Life.
Not only is there a mug, but you can grab a matching ornament!
You can purchase the travel mug for $24.99 and the ornament for $14.99. In this shop, we also spotted the recently released Make-A-Wish merchandise collection.
This collection was created to celebrate Disney and the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s 40th anniversary of working together! The merchandise is in a beautiful royal blue color and includes ears, spirit jerseys, masks, and Loungeflys. We are obsessed with this new color trend, PLUS some of the proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Island Mercantile
We did not find any new merchandise while browsing through Island Mercantile, however Disney changed the entire layout of the store!
The shop added a much bigger selection of Minnie Mouse merchandise. We’re glad one of our favorite characters is getting some love!
We will continue to look for new merchandise in this location, but this rearrangement was pretty interesting!

Creature Comforts
Creature Comforts, also known as the Starbucks location in Animal Kingdom, also has the new Starbucks Travel Mug and Ornament in stock!
It’s nice to know there are several locations to grab these incredible Starbucks items! We’ve seen these in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT as well, so be sure to check those out! We found a bunch of holiday merchandise from Disney’s new ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas collection which you can check out here!

Animal Kingdom Miscellaneous Update
It’s Tough to Be a Bug
While checking out the wait times in Animal Kingdom, nothing seemed too out of the ordinary…until we passed It’s Tough to Be a Bug! This is a 4D theater show based on the movie A Bug’s Life and is usually a guaranteed walk-on. The line was a 3o minute wait!
And with physical distancing, the line stuck out WAY past the entrance of the queue! I don’t think we’ve ever seen the line for this attraction THIS LONG!!!
This was something we were not expecting to see in Animal Kingdom today and totally shocked us! We’ll be sure to keep checking to see if the line gets this long again.
Disney World wait times aren’t as they seem!
Guest Relations
On our way out of the parks we noticed a new sign by the Guest Relations location near Island Mercantile. This location used to only advertise guest relations, but according to this sign, they are now a ticketing location.
We went up and asked what services they offered now and a Cast Member told us that they can help guests add-on days to tickets, and hopefully more options in the future.
This location still acts as a guest relations location, so keep that in mind. It is nice that they can offer this service now as well!
