We have surprising and exciting news for tinkerers and toy-lovers!
It has long been a thing that large Lego purchases in Disney-owned stores were excluded from any discounts. Well, that’s all changed as of today! We were able to use our Annual Pass discount on a BIG Lego purchase!
We were shopping it up in Animal Kingdom when we decided we just had to have the Lego Disney World Train Station set. Can you blame us? Of course, this guy will set us back a cool $329.99, and as the sign says, no discounts are applied…or so we thought.
A Cast Member let us know that discounts can now be applied on select Lego purchases! Yes, that means that Annual Passholders can get 30% off right now! That’s a pretty amazing deal.
Keep in mind, these discounts won’t apply at the Lego Store, just Disney-owned and operated spots on the property. We double-checked that this was also the case in Magic Kingdom and we were given the same exact discount at the Emporium!! So keep an eye out for these sets in the parks or at World of Disney in Disney Springs.
As another note, Cast Members let us do article storage when we bought our set at Discovery Trading Co. in Animal Kingdom. We spotted them testing this system at Windtraders a few months ago.
We were given until 4PM to pick up our purchased merchandise at the store before they send it to Lost and Found. This is one of the only spots we’ve seen using article storage so far, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it elsewhere too! So if you’re needing Disney to hold your purchases, it is totally worth asking a Cast Member. They may not always offer it (as we’ve seen in most cases right now), but sometimes they just might!
As always, stay tuned to DFB for exciting updates like this one!

We did the same thing when we were there in September! We wish the AP discount would work at Shop Disney as the train and the razor crest were the only large sets we could find in all the parks!
I’ll be anxiously awaiting when they let us use the 30% AP discount online!
