This year, Disney announced the new Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction collections. A new collection is released almost every month and is based on a Disney attraction. To say these have been a huge hit is an understatement and since these collections aren’t always released in the parks, it’s a pretty big deal when they are.
Today, the Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Haunted Mansion collection was released at Sir Mickey’s in Magic Kingdom. It was released first to Annual Passholders this morning before being released to all Disney World guests and it took us FOUR HOURS to get to the store. No, we’re not kidding.
So now, the fruits of our looooooong wait: Let’s see what the collection looks like in person (since we’ve already seen it a few times online), shall we?!
The Passholder event was supposed to take place from 9AM to 10AM (but clearly we waited WAY longer just to step into the store with the merchandise). And on top of that, the collection went FAST! What was awesome was thhat Passholders were able to use their merchandise 30% off discount (which is currently being offered through October 29).
What was not so awesome is that Passholders were lined up for HOURS in the heat to get to the collection. The line wound all through Fantasyland and even into a backstage area at one point. You can read more about the craziness here! We arrived at the Magic Kingdom parking entrance at 8AM and weren’t checking out at Sir Mickey’s until 12PM!
We wouldn’t say it was worth it necessarily, but this merch is pretty cool. The ears feature Madame Leota surrounded by black and purple flowers. They also have a tealish-colored veil that honestly gives us more Constance Hatchaway vibes than Leota vibes. Not gonna lie, we’d personally like these more if they’d just hatch that veil away.
We do love the striped sequin detail though!
The Hip Pack by Loungefly looks very similar to the ears when it comes to the details. We love the color palette for this collection.
There’s also the Haunted Mansion Main Attraction Plush. Miss Minnie is rocking her veil and mansion outfit. You go, girl!
We also really liked the mug but unfortunately, it was sold out! 🙁 And last but not least is the Haunted Mansion pin set. The set comes with three pins. One that looks like the ears, a Leota pin, and a Minnie Mansion pin!
Like we said, this collection is going FAST! So hurry over to Sir Mickey’s if you want to add these goodies to your collection.

Do you know why a matching MagicBand was not released with this collection?

And this stuff is already started showing up on EBay, at a mark up of course.

I arrived at 9:00am and was told the virtual que was closed.
I spoke with many people who got there earlier than me with horrible experiences with the virtual que.
they were told to get out of line and join the virtual que so they didn’t have to sit and wait in line.
The problem is that they were never called to the store. Around 1:30pm they were still waiting even though they were the first to enter the que.
I however was still able to get my pins around 4:00 when the line was gone. I was very surprised.
