The global health crisis has rocked the world for almost the entirety of 2020 so far. This year, every single Disney theme park around the world has had to close, and it’s been a slow road to reopen them.
Already, we’ve seen Hong Kong Disneyland close for a second time and reopen again and now Disneyland Paris has announced its second closure due to the global health crisis.
President Emmanuel Macron has imposed a nationwide lockdown in France to combat the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the country. The stay-at-home order begins this Friday, October 30th. Of course, this lockdown severely inhibits Disneyland Paris’s ability to remain open.
After President Macron made the announcement, Disneyland Paris issued a statement noting that the resort will be closing end of day on October 29. In anticipation of the holiday season, they will be taking reservations from December 19 – January 3. This does not guarantee that they will be able to reopen for those dates. But if they are able to, they will be closed again from January 4 – February 12.
