Slowly but surely, fan-favorite offerings are returning to Disney World — even when it comes to transportation!
Boat transportation has been suspended in many locations throughout Disney World. Now, they’re BACK in running again from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian and the Poly.
Boats (aka water taxis) are now running between Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Good timing too, considering the monorail station at the Polynesian closed today. Plus, these boats make a stop at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort too.
We expected these boats to be running this morning, but they weren’t until a little later this afternoon. According to Cast Members, boat transportation should be running regularly going forward.
Though buses are now available between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Magic Kingdom, the buses will not make a stop at Grand Floridian. Boats will stop at Grand Floridian first and then the Polynesian coming from Magic Kingdom and the opposite for the other way.
It’s great news that another transportation option is available once more in Disney World. As always, stay tuned to DFB so that you’re up to date on EXACTLY what to expect for your Disney trip!

What about boats at other resorts like Old key West?
DFB Sarah says
Charmaine, so far the Sassagoula boats aren’t running.
