What happens when a pie meets a Rice Krispie treat? Earlier this year, that marriage resulted in the Pumpkin Pie Rice Krispie Treat over at Goofy’s Candy Company.
While it was one of the cutest treats we saw this fall, unfortunately the flavor Pumpkin Pie Krispie wasn’t anything to write home about. But it certainly opened the door for Disney to transform all kinds of yummy pies into Rice Krispie form!
We popped into Screen Door General Store at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to see if any of the new holiday treats had arrived, and our eyes nearly popped out of our heads when we saw that the Pumpkin Pie Krispie was replaced by ANOTHER pie…this time, Pecan Pie!
Each “slice” comes individually wrapped, and at first glance, it really does resemble a slice of Pecan Pie! But don’t be fooled: this is one SWEET Rice Krispie Treat.
And we mean, VERY sweet, even sweeter than a regular old Rice Krispie Treat! The pecan flavor was also very prominent, so if you’re a pecan fan, you’ll jump for joy! We even tasted a slight hint of maple which was a pleasant surprise! If you aren’t into pecans, however, you may find the flavor off-putting.
If you’re, like, MEGA into the sweet treats at Disney World, or if you’re a pecan aficionado, be sure to give the Pecan Pie Rice Krispie Treat a try this season. At $5.49, it’s a decent sized snack that can be found at Screen Door General Store at the BoardWalk.
