Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party may be canceled this year, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t getting ALL kinds of holiday entertainment all around Disney World!

Holiday cavalcades are coming, Santa is headed to Disney Springs (via boat!), and a holiday scavenger hunt will be available for you to enjoy in Disney Springs. But today we spotted a holiday character interaction we didn’t expect to see at all!
It’s The MUPPETS!

Previously, The Muppets had a show in Liberty Square called “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History.” We bid farewell to the show in October of last year, but then it miraculously reappeared during the 2019 holiday season! It came back for President’s Day weekend as well, and we then lost sight of our Muppets friends for several months.

But today, as we walked around Magic Kingdom, we found that the Muppets have made their way BACK to Liberty Square! They’re not doing a full show, however. Instead, they’re just making some limited appearances in the open windows (but hey, we’ll take whatever Muppets fun we can take). When we were there, we saw Gonzo and some of his favorite chickens dancing around with some jingle bells and spreading lots of holiday cheer! It’s the perfect chance to take a socially distanced and festive selfie with these awesome characters.
The Muppets are BACK!
The Cast Member who we spoke with said the Muppet characters that will be appearing here will actually rotate!
Gonzo!
That means we could see Fozzie Bear, Sam Eagle, or others in this area. We’re still dreaming of getting a full live performance of The Muppet Christmas Carol, but these limited character experiences will do for now.

Overall, it is an awesome and unexpected character appearance that we TOTALLY love! We’re checking out ALL of the holiday snacks, entertainment, merchandise, and more all around Disney World, so be sure to come back for more details.
