We’ve been admiring all of the beautiful trees at the Christmas Tree Stroll and trying ALL kinds of tasty snacks in Disney Springs!
But, before we could enjoy all of the holiday festivities there, we had to go through the temperature check and the new security checks going on here. Yesterday we shared that these security screenings were now in place in the parking garages in Disney Springs, but today we’ve got some photos and more details to show you what this is like.
We were SO READY to get some holiday Starbucks drinks and check out the decorations in Disney Springs today, so we made our way over there this morning and parked in one of the parking garages. We passed some health and safety signs reminding us to wear our masks, wash our hands, maintain physical distance from others, and other reminders we’ve seen around the parks.
Then, we went through the standard temperature check, which utilizes the touchless thermometers.
After the temperature check is when we encountered the security screening measures.
As the sign indicates, guests are instructed to keep all of their items inside of their bags and simply carry their bags with them through the screening point. This is the same as the newer security screening measures we’ve seen in the parks as well.
If something you are carrying triggers the sensors, it may then be checked by security. When we went through, we saw the security team using their hands to search through the bags that triggered the sensors.
From what we know, the security screenings are in place at both parking garages in Disney Springs. We’ll definitely keep an eye out for any more updates on this and let you know if any changes are made in the future.
