Okay yes, it started to feel like the holiday season when we saw all the decorations in Magic Kingdom. And it felt even MORE like Christmas when we tried some of the festive snacks. We may have also shed a tear when we heard “Once Upon a Christmastime” playing and watched today’s character cavalcades.

But now we’re officially DONE. Out for the count. FULL tears. It’s over guys. The holiday projections on Cinderella Castle are so gorgeous, so crisp, so festive — you’ve GOT to see them!

Just as the sun was setting, Cinderella Castle was looking as beautiful as ever. But as soon as it got dark, she went from this…

…to THIS! There may not be any fireworks, and we are definitely missing the Castle Dream Lights (which are not being put up this year), but we are LIVING for these holiday projections!

Just look at those colors! Look at the way that every little design feature just fits that castle perfectly! Look at the red polka dots (how very Minnie Mouse) and the other details all around.

Truly, after months of not having any kind of nighttime show, this was just incredible. It wasn’t exactly a “show” per se though. There was really no music or storyline or anything — the designs were simply projected up on the Castle for all to enjoy. But honestly that was great! It gives you enough time to take a selfie or just get some amazing photos. Plus, it means you don’t have to be there at a specific time (which helps to prevent some crowding, although there were a LOT of people all in front of the Castle when it first started, so you may want to visit it a little bit after the projections begin).

Just look at this beauty. We love all of the gold projections and how they pop against the blue.

It truly was a magical sight to behold. This Christmas sweater design is AMAZING! You could get a matching or similar design and MATCH with Cinderella Castle — c’mon, how could you NOT love that?!

We knew that seeing the Castle lit up with these projections would be a special sight and it did NOT disappoint. Be sure to come back to DFB for more holiday updates!
