Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of entertainment, merchandise, and food updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
Disney Entertainment
Although we were heading in the Magic Kingdom, we spotted a brand new sign for Disney Springs on the way into the park! The previous version had a pink background with an adult model, which has not been switched to a more festive holiday version! The newer billboard features a little girl in front of a red background filled with toys, along with the “Happily Whatever You’re After” tagline.
As we were making our way around Tomorrowland (and to shamelessly ride Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin multiple times), we spotted a custodial Cast Member being trained to create character water art!
We think they did an AMAZING job making Mickey Mouse, don’t you??
Recently, we spotted a stage built in front of Cinderella Castle where filming happened this past week. We may not be sure exactly what Disney was filming, but the stage was a bit on the wild side with a slide and a hanging bridge! However, the parks have updated the set to include rope handles along the bridge…
…as well as remove the glittery purple curtains that were hanging up previously! Do note: This stage has since been removed.
During one of the last “regular” Character Cavalcades before the holiday season began, we noticed that a float broke down temporarily before it reached the castle. Cast Members gathered around as they fixed the situation to get things up and running again.
Although there are plenty of characters to see during the cavalcades, Stitch was greeting guests with his hilarious antics over at the Tomorrowland Stage! He looked pretty happy to see all of us (and we were thrilled to see him too)!
Disney Merchandise
Emporium
Can you believe it’s already Christmastime in Disney World as 2020 comes to a swift close? While we are SO ready to stuff our faces with turkey and gingerbread soon, we also can’t wait to wear some of the new holiday shirts we found in the Emporium as well. You can make each day “Merry and Bright” in this Mickey and Minnie Tee…
…or be a little on the grumpy side without your morning coffee, wearing the Donald Duck Bah Humbug T-Shirt.
But, since it’s Christmas, we think the best thing you can do is to “Keep It Merry” as you explore Disney World in this Mickey Mouse Tee!
You can find each of the holiday shirts at the Emporium for $24.99 each. BUT, if you buy two, you can get them for $22 each instead (which sounds like a great way to get your Christmas shopping done).
Here’s a look at all the details on these new holiday clothes you can find in the Magic Kingdom!
Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.
Season two of The Mandalorian has finally premiered on Disney+, and we’ve been LIVING for the adventures of Baby Yoda and Mando once again! Even though we’ve been wearing our Mandalorian Spirit Jersey as we binge-watch Star Wars, you can also decorate your house with the newest Baby Yoda Magnets at the Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.
Whether you’re feeling a little sassy like the Baby Yoda Does Not Listen Magnet…
…or you just love watching drama like the Dramatic Baby Yoda Magnet, you can switch them both out depending on your mood for $14.99 each.
Uptown Jewelers
Now that our favorite Star Wars show is back on Disney+, we’re just waiting for Marvel entertainment to return with the premiere of WandaVision! Although we don’t have new Avengers movies coming any time soon, you can take home a souvenir over the past few years of the cinematic universe with THREE limited edition Citizen Avengers Watches!
If you love Marvel as much as we do, the “I Love You 3000” Tony Stark Watch is the perfect collectible for fans! The watch’s case looks like an Arc Reactor, while the watch is inscribed with “Proof That Tony Stark Has a Heart.”
The back features Tony’s signature and the Avengers: Endgame logo for the finishing touches!
Since the watch is limited edition, there are only 1,500 made, selling for $495 each.
Check out all the details on the limited edition “I Love You 3000” Tony Star Watch here!
My personal favorite super hero is Spider-Man, and the Spider-Man Watch is channeling Peter Parker’s famous blue and red suit! The bottom of the watch shows off the hero’s logo for $395…
…while the Avengers Watch actually has the “A” for Avengers on the face of the watch!
The Citizen accessory is black with gold and red details that will make you feel like a part of the team for $350.
