Ho! Ho! Ho! Are you ready for some “Festive Spirits?!”

Because the folks at The Wave Lounge in Disney’s Contemporary Resort sure are! In fact, the bartenders are currently serving up three themed seasonal cocktails: the Santa Colada, the Mistletoe Mule, and the Peppermint Kiss. The trouble is, we couldn’t narrow our choice down to just one, sooo….
We ordered two!
Peppermint Kiss and Santa Colada
The Peppermint Kiss and the Santa Colada were our yuletide libations today.

The Santa Colada features Parrot Bay Rum and Rumchata with lime juice, agave nectar, and a green sugared rim. (See? It’s FESTIVE!!)

That rim is great indicator of how very, very sweet this sip is, and — for that reason — not to everyone’s taste.

That said, the bartender poured a good drink and overall we found it to be a nice, strong cocktail. The flavor highlight here is the Rumchata, and it does blend nicely with the other flavors in this festive bevvy.
Now let’s pucker up for that Peppermint Kiss!
Peppermint Kiss
Here, house-infused peppermint vodka is poured with agave nectar and Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup. Again, we have another very sweet beverage, but the taste of the alcohol was more pronounced than with the Colada. The other prominent flavor was the peppermint — it really pops!

We were, in all honesty, a little early in the day to take on this dessert drink. 😉 At night, perhaps after a relaxing dinner at The Wave, we can definitely see how this would be much more enjoyable. If you love that combo of chocolate and peppermint, this may very well be YOUR perfect seasonal sip!

recipes please for santa c olada and mistletoe mule
I’ve been trying to recreate these at home. The mistletoe mule has been our fave. It’s very refreshing. The other two are good, but very sweet!
