Headed to EPCOT for some fun at the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival?
Well, if you’re planning on entering through the International Gateway entrance (a.k.a. the “back” entrance), you may experience some issues. It appears Disney is experiencing some technical difficulties today with this back entrance to the park that is preventing guests from entering.
A huge thanks to our follower Shannon McKibban (@shannonmckibban on Instagram) for sending us this picture and information. Shannon shared that the touch points, where you would scan your ticket or MagicBand to enter, appeared to be down at the International Gateway entrance and no guests were being allowed to enter the park. It appears manual entry was not working either.
We’re not sure what issue has caused this problem or how quickly it can/will be resolved, but we’ll let you know as we get any more updates on this situation.
Update: Another big thanks to Shannon for giving us an update. After waiting about 20 minutes after reaching out to us, Shannon says a Cast Member was able to scan her ticket via iPad and she was able to enter the park. She mentioned that there was quite a lot of guests waiting to get in though, with the line stretching ALL the way back to the Disney Skyliner fence. We’ll keep you updated if we hear any more information about this.
