Last year, we bid farewell to one of the MOST beloved nighttime shows at Walt Disney World — EPCOT’s
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

However, we learned that this long-running show would be replaced with a BRAND NEW nighttime spectacular: Harmonious.
Though this show was originally slated to open in spring of 2020, it has been delayed a bit, though work carries on. And tonight, during EPCOT’s The Magic of Possibility presentation from D23 Fantastic Worlds, we learned MORE details about this new show.

The show will take place on five floating platforms, which are positioned like a compass in World Showcase Lagoon — and we’ve seen these platforms already being worked on in the park.

These platforms will house the primary equipment for the show and support a six-story tall structure as well as four 25-foot tall LED screens and 54-foot long moving arms. Zach Riddley, Imagineering Portfolio Executive for Walt Disney World Resort, also noted that this show is going to include lasers, fountains, lights, and more!

And while this show will really shine during the night, there will be FOUNTAINS in World Showcase Lagoon during the day, adding more stunning atmosphere to EPCOT’s World Showcase!

Honestly, we were excited for Harmonious before, but learning more about the scale and scope of this show has us even MORE pumped! And when we learn more about this show (including an opening date, construction, and ANYTHING else), we’ll be the first to let you know!
