Disneyland Resort closed earlier this year, and although Downtown Disney and part of Disney California Adventure (with limited shopping and dining), have reopened, the state of California still faces many challenges due to the global health crisis.
The state recently issued new health and safety guidelines that theme parks must adhere to before reopening, but those guidelines could keep Disneyland closed until 2021.
Disneyland recently canceled all reservations through the end of the year, and Orange County, where Disneyland resides, recently moved back to the state’s purple tier due to a fast increase in COVID-19 cases in the area.
Now, The Orange County Register reports that California Governor Gavin Newson has announced a new curfew for much of the state.
The new order requires all non-essential work and movement, along with gatherings, to end between 10PM and 5AM. The order goes into effect on 10PM on Saturday and applies to counties currently in the purple tier, which would include Disneyland.
However, this order shouldn’t affect Downtown Disney or the shopping and dining at California Adventure, as both close at 8PM each evening. This situation is constantly changing, though, so we’ll keep you updated!
