Want to grab lunch at Animal Kingdom but dinner at EPCOT? When the Disney World theme parks reopened earlier this year, park hopping was suspended. Currently, you can only visit one park per day.
But, things are about to change! Disney just announced that Park Hopping will be returning on January 1st, 2021, with some modifications. Disney has also sent out an email to Annual Passholders about this update.
In the email Disney says that they are nearing another “exciting milestone” they know many Guests have been looking forward to — the return of the Park Hopper option. Again, it notes that Guests who purchased a ticket or annual pass with Park Hopper benefits will be able to visit more than one park per day starting January 1st, with some modifications. It then links to a webpage where the Passholder can learn more.
While Guests with Park Hopper benefits will be able to visit more than one park per day, there are new rules to be aware of. Guests still need to book a Park Pass at the park they want to visit first AND enter that park in order to Park Hop. Then, starting at 2PM each day, guests will have the opportunity to hop to another park.
We’re keeping an eye out for any more details about the return of Park Hopping and will certainly let you know if we spot any updates.

What if we have already bought tickets without park hopper, will we be able to add park hopper to the ticket?

The fine print at the end says “subject to park capacity limitations”. I wonder how that will go down. I’m foreseeing notifications that say “Park is at capacity. Unavailable”. I’m hoping not, but won’t be surprised if so.

Alice, I would think so. You might give Disney a call to confirm.

Thank you for your answer. .I wanted to update you with what I found out. I was able to go to MDE and update the tickets under plans and tickets to include park hopping for the tickets for 2021. We didn’t even have to call Disney. Thanks again, Alice
