We’ve been noshing our way around Disney World’s holiday snacks and treats and we just can’t get enough!
From Chocolate Peppermint Bark to Reindeer Food to a Spiced Cookie shaped like a moose, we’ve tried it! But we’re not done yet — so we just headed over to Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs to try a NEW holiday treat!
That treat was a Black Forest Parfait made with dark chocolate mousse, cherry mousse, Chantilly cream, cherry compote, and a chocolate biscuit. Will you look at all those yummy layers?
Also, look at how pretty it is! The top has crispy pearls and a chocolate tree with an edible goldleaf star and colored chocolate sprinkled on it. It’s SO pretty!
And spoiler alert: that whipped cream is PEPPERMINT FLAVORED! When we dug in, we could taste all the different flavors of chocolate, cherry, and cream. Not only did each layer taste delicious on its own, but each also worked well as part of a cohesive whole.
The textures in this are incredible: the bottom mousse layer was almost like pudding. AND there were huge chunks of chocolate and WHOLE cherries hidden in the layers. The bottom biscuit was almost like cake and the pearls on top added a nice crunch!
This is the perfect snack for those days when you want a small and light — yet decadent — dessert! It’s available now at Amorette’s for $8.
Stay tuned because we’re searching out the next holiday treat to try! We’ll be sure to let you know what we think!
