There are lots of projects going on at Disneyland Paris right now!
At last week’s IAAPA expo, we got several updates on the ongoing projects, including Hotel New York — Art of Marvel and Avengers Campus. However, the park has also had some difficulties recently, as the park didn’t achieve net positive contribution in Q4 and recently had to close its gates again due to a nationwide lockdown in France. Even with all of this, we’ve just received positive news from Disneyland Paris, as we recently got an update on construction for the new Cars Route 66 Road Trip attraction!
Cars Route 66 Road Trip is set to debut in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris in 2021, and will be a family-friendly journey through the many roadside attractions of Route 66. The loading station for this attraction is halfway through construction, and is the first building constructed outside of the current perimeter of Walt Disney Studios Park.
Guests will enter the station through a tourist booth, complete with Route 66 memorabilia! Once this attraction is completed, it will be connected to the Toy Story Playland section of the park via a new road.
Cars Route 66 Road Trip is the first step in expanding Walt Disney Studios Park. Based on what we’ve seen so far, we’re expecting this attraction to be lots of fun, and filled with several great Imagineering details! Keep checking DFB for the latest in news on both the domestic and international Disney Parks!
