With so many moving parts, it’s not uncommon for Disney’s attractions and rides to have breakdowns.
From sinking boats to malfunctioning animatronics to Skyliner crashes, we’ve seen it all! Some attractions are more prone to breaking down than others, but Disney tries to keep things in check with regular refurbishments. Today, a BIG Disney attraction broke down and guests had to be evacuated — from a very precarious location!
Today in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the popular coaster Expedition Everest experienced a breakdown, causing the ride vehicles to stop on the tracks! Our friends over at AllEars shared a video of the vehicles halted on their Twitter account.

Disney handled the situation and safely evacuated the guests from the ride. We can’t imagine how intimidating it must have been to be stuck on that hill! After the incident, the My Disney Experience app shows that Expedition Everest is temporarily closed.
