Before we start endlessly day-dreaming about visions of peppermint and gingerbread, there’s still plenty of fall flavors to gush over in Disney World!
Maybe because fall in Florida doesn’t really cool off until November, but Disney is going BIG with a couple NEW seasonal autumn specials in Animal Kingdom!
Even though it’s basically already Christmas in Disney World, that doesn’t mean it’s winter quite yet!
In fact, more than two months into fall and we just found some of the best fall specials of the season! On deck at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom, we’re LOVING the seasonal soup and the festive dessert trio!
Starting on the savory side, the soup du jour is Roasted Calabaza Squash Soup, served with ginger-pear chutney, pickled jalapeño, and chai-spiced and candied pistachios!
Clearly, there’s a LOT happening in this bowl! And we’re here for EVERY. LAST. SPOONFUL!
If fall could be pureed, it would taste like this squash soup, served warm and thick, and poured table side for a little pomp and circumstance!
The spiced nuts, chutney, and jalapeño are nestled snugly in the bottom of the bowl, then the soup is poured out of a cute tureen! Once all mixed together, it’s the PERFECT soup for this time of year, and the dream appetizer for anyone looking for a fall-forward flavor!
While we could have used more pistachios and jalapeño, and we didn’t really detect any roasted notes, there’s no doubt that this is the quintessential fall soup! At $14, it might seem steep for soup, but this is SUPER filling!
Hope you saved room for dessert, because there’s a whole TRIFECTA!
The Nomad Trio is as delicious as it is precious (and photogenic)! It’s got a Pumpkin Pie Tart, Spiced Mickey Caramel, and Pecan Pie Torte!
The Pumpkin Pie Tart is a little piece of edible art! We would have felt bad tearing into it if it wasn’t SO TASTY!
With different colors of cake nestled atop pumpkin pie filling in a crumbly shell, this thing looks like a pumpkin patch.
The Spiced Mickey Caramel is a literal dome of pure caramel, so…no complaints here!
The spice is minimal, but there’s just enough to lend a wisp of fall-ness, rather than make it too spicy-hot or salty!
Our least favorite was the Pecan Pie Torte, which is still a beauty to behold, but left us wishing it was pie… .
It’s basically a soft cake with pecans mixed in, rather than that ooey-gooey pecan pie filling we know and love and CRAVE! It wouldn’t be our top pick, but if you prefer cake over pie, then you’re sure to love this!
This trio costs $13, which again might feel kinda high, but it’s a nice treat for this time of year!
While we’re ready for Christmas flavors and winter coziness, we’re still FULLY here for fall flavors like these!
There’s another pumpkin dessert to try this weekend at Animal Kingdom!

Any chance for a copy cat recipe for that soup? I had the pleasure of eating it on my last trip along with the Hibiscus Henna and they were SPECTACULAR!! Please and thank you ^-^
