Hello, everyone! Welcome to Disney’s Monorail Resorts!
We recently visited the resorts on the Monorail track to see what’s new! So here are the latest updates!
What’s New at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Contemporary Resort Food Updates
We popped into Contempo Cafe to try out the new Chocolate Peppermint Yule Log. This is a chocolate chiffon cake with chocolate peppermint mousse. It’s topped with “meringue mushrooms,” a chocolate gingerbread boy shape, a small piece of chiffon, a chocolate Mickey coin, and decorative frosting. This thing is A LOT.
The thing is — we didn’t really get much of the peppermint taste, but we still thought the cake, as a whole, was quite tasty. However, it wasn’t the chocolate lover’s dream we thought it might be. If you want to try the Chocolate Peppermint Yule Log for yourself, it’s available now for $5.49.

What’s New at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Grand Floridian Merchandise Updates
We spotted some new holiday soaps at Basin. There is the Christmas in Paradise soap, along with three holiday Mickey-themed soaps! Each soap is $5.99.
We especially love the snowflake Mickey soap — it’s got us thinking about winter!
Check out these cute hand sanitizers we found at Disney World!
Grand Floridian Activities Update
There’s a new holiday activity inside the Grand Floridian! There are cute packages of gingerbread cut-outs to play with to make your own gingerbread person!
For those who wanted to brave the chilly weather and play outside, a Cast Member told us that there were nets and corn hole boards outside of the pools, too.

What’s New at the Polynesian Resort
Polynesian Food Updates
You can still get the Poisoned Apple Cocktail for $16 at the Barefoot Pool Bar, for some reason. It’s kinda’ out of season, but whatever! So if you still want to celebrate a little late Halloween, go for it! This is a drink made with Svedka Vodka, Midori Melon Liqueur, Blue Curacao, and Pineapple Juice with a Light Up Cube.
We liked the drink, but warning — it is sweet! So if sweet isn’t your thing, you might want to skip it.

The Turkey Cupcake and Moana Cupcake are still available at Capt. Cook’s. It’s a little late for Thanksgiving snacks, but if you like frosting, the Turkey Cupcake might be just for you!
We didn’t spot any other new goodies in the case, though.

Remember when we told you that you could get the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding at Kona Cafe? Well, we discovered you can ALSO get it at Tambu Lounge after 5PM. YES! The Coconut Man Cup with drink is also available here for $21.
The cup is a real hollowed-out coconut that is not just a drink cup, but also a coin bank! It’s so cool!

That’s it for our time around the Monorail Resorts at Disney World. We’ll be back soon with even more updates, so stay tuned!
