There have been a lot of exciting new things to see and do in the Downtown Disney District! While the theme parks remain closed at the Disneyland Resort, guests can still shop and dine at the many locations throughout Downtown Disney as well as Buena Vista Street, which reopened last month!
Let’s take a look at what we discovered on our latest visit!
Downtown Disney Construction Update
Avengers Campus delayed its reopening, which was originally set to take place this past summer. However, guests can stand just a FEW feet closer to the latest park expansion. That’s because those mysterious gates that we spotted on Buena Vista Street’s reopening day have OPENED, revealing…a hot dog cart.
Currently, it looks like Disney is utilizing the walkway leading to Avengers Campus as additional space to house their outdoor hot dog cart. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we can get a good look into Avengers Campus!
We also heard the same overhead announcement from Downtown Disney on our most recent trip. This time, however, we heard it play in Buena Vista Street. You can listen to the announcement from Downtown Disney here!

Downtown Disney Food Update
We were just as excited as Jack Skellington in Christmas Town when we discovered a NEW Jack Annual Passholder Popcorn Bucket!
We picked him up at the popcorn cart by Soarin’, and it even lights up in a whole assortment of colors!
While we wish we could take our Jack Skellington Popcorn Bucket on a spin around Haunted Mansion Holiday, we’re happy to have a new popcorn bucket added to our collection! You can pick him up for $20.

That wasn’t the only NEW release we spotted along Buena Vista Street! A Santa Mickey Annual Passholder holiday sipper debuted as well, just like the one we spotted in Disney World!
We picked ours up at Award Wieners, but he’s available at a few other locations too! He even comes with clear snowflake stickers to make your sipper look like a genuine snow globe! He’s currently available for $17.69 and come with your choice of non-alcoholic beverage.

Downtown Disney Merchandise Update
Off the Page
Our most recent trip to Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street marked the reopening of Off the Page! The store is technically located in the Hollywood Land section of Disney California Adventure, but currently, the Buena Vista Street extension goes all the way down to this area!
We waited in a LONG line to get a glimpse at the unique merchandise you can find here, from one-of-a-kind artwork and decor to jewelry, pins, and more!
The store’s current hours are from 12PM-8PM daily, so be sure to check it out next time you visit!

World of Disney
Finally, we spotted a couple of new items in World of Disney! The holiday insulated tumbler has finally arrived at this location, after being the surprise bonus item at one of Downtown’s shopping events.
The insulated tumbler is available while supplies last for $23.99. We also found the White Christmas Tree Popcorn Bucket here! You can pick this cutie up with popcorn at Buena Vista Street, or you can find it at World of Disney sans popcorn!
If you want the White Christmas Tree Popcorn Bucket, you can find it at World of Disney for $18.99. And after falling in love with Disney’s new Cornflower Blue Minnie Ears online, we spotted them IN PERSON at World of Disney!
Our favorite pair of Minnie Ears is usually the one we’re currently holding or wearing, but we must say, this is a color trend we wouldn’t mind seeing stick around! Pick these cuties up at World of Disney for $29.99!

At this time, Disney has not announced if or how California’s latest regional stay-at-home order will impact Downtown Disney. Once we hear of news coming out of Disney or the state, however, we will let you know!
