The lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is currently decked out with festive holiday decor.
But the gigantic Christmas tree and gingerbread treats aren’t the only things that have recently returned to the resort. Now, guests can once again enjoy live music in the lobby!
Unfortunately, since Disney World reopened, much of the live entertainment around the parks and resorts has been either temporarily or permanently suspended. One longtime favorite that was included in the entertainment cuts is the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra, who had been performing in the hotel lobby for over 30 years.
And while we still miss being greeted by the gorgeous performances from the orchestra, some live music has now returned to the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The pianist has returned to the lobby for the first time since the resort began its initial reopening in June.
The pianist, named Wes, is performing in an alcove just off the main atrium of the lobby.
In order to comply with health and safety measures, the pianist is wearing a mask, and the piano is roped-off to ensure guests maintain distance.
