Is there a better place to spend a day than Magic Kingdom? We’re not sure.
We’re taking a stroll through Magic Kingdom to make sure we can spot anything new. So, here are all the updates in food, construction, and merchandise!
Before we dive in on those updates, let’s talk about the CROWDS. Yesterday was a FULL CAPACITY day at Magic Kingdom and it certainly felt like it. We noticed high crowds in certain pinch points.
Of course, it still feels lighter than previous Decembers in Disney, but the holiday crowds are definitely upon us.

Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Storybook Treats
Let’s jump into those food updates! With the chillier temperatures, Storybook Treats was serving Hot Cocoa for $3.29!
Westward Ho
In Frontierland, we saw that Westward Ho was open even though it was a weekday. Typically this spot is only open on the weekends. Still, we wouldn’t bet on it being open every day. It’s possible it was open to support the crowds and could be closed on a less crowded day.
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Storybook Circus
As construction updates go, we spotted a few! Over at the train station in Storybook Circus, we noticed that the train tracks have been removed completely for the time being. Such a strange site to see… .
TRON Construction
You KNOW we checked in on construction over at TRON Lightcycle Run which still seems to be going on in full swing. We’ve been able to spot a LOT of work going into the illuminated canopy.
This attraction is set to open in 2021 ahead of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary and we can’t WAIT to hop on a lightcycle and give it a ride.

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Emporium
Now, on to the merchandise! Over at Main Street Emporium, we spotted that the FUZZY Silver and Gold Minnie Ears in stock.
These ears are available for $29.99 and we’ve spotted them in a few places in Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

Disney World also saw a BUNCH of new merchandise based on Disney and Pixar’s Soul roll into the parks. Main Street Emporium had a whole slew of t-shirts, plushes, and more.
We love all the fun designs. They have a nice mix of jazz motifs and fun imagery from the Soul world! Hey, Soul Cat!
We spotted this new merchandise elsewhere in Disney World too, so keep an eye out when you’re there. Plus, lots of items are available online!

Frontierland Trading Post
And that’s not even all the Soul merch we spotted in Magic Kingdom! Over at Frontierland Trading Post, we noticed a new limited-edition Soul MagicBand!
One side features the main character Joe Gardner and the other had his SIGNATURE keys! Add in The Half Note Jazz Club logo and this $34.99 MagicBand is a real winner.

This spot also had four different Soul Funko Pop! figures for $12.99 each.
There’s a Joe Gardner Funko Pop!, a 22 Funko Pop!, a Mr. Mittens Funko Pop!, and a Joe Gardner Soul World Funko Pop!

We spotted another VERY cool limited release MagicBand here too. Take a look at the Walt and Mickey MagicBand for $29.99. What a perfect merch release for the week of Walt’s birthday!
One side of this MagicBand features Walt sketching away and the other features Mickey Mouse in “Steamboat Willie!”
