This morning, Disney World has issued an update to clarify the Multi-Day Ticket policy.
Recently, the Disney Parks have been reaching capacity more regularly. It is now more common to see days with no Disney Park Pass availability in any of the four parks. So, what does this mean for Multi-Day Ticketholders? We’ve got an update.
Disney has updated their policy to “allow you to order multi-day theme park tickets, even in circumstances where Disney Park Pass reservations may no longer be available for select days during that guest’s validity window.”
The update notes that in a capacity situation, ticketholders “will be able to make theme park reservations on days within the ticket’s validity window (based on theme park availability), although he or she will not be able to make a reservation or visit a park on a day when reservations are unavailable.”
The updated gives the following example:
- Ticketholders request a 3-day Walt Disney World theme park base ticket (last day of the validity window is 4 days after the selected start date).
- They select a start date of March 1st, however, in this example let’s assume that there are no Disney Park Pass reservations available for March 3rd but Disney Park Pass reservations are available for all of the other days during the validity window.
- These ticketholders will be unable to visit the theme parks on March 3rd but may use their 3-day ticket to obtain a Disney Park Pass on three of the other four days within their validity window: March 1st, March 2nd, March 4th, and March 5th.
As a note, multi-day tickets will remain unavailable in instances where there are too many at-capacity days for the ticket to be honored at the time of purchase.
The Disney Parks recently increased capacity to 35% and the holiday season has brought significant demand to all four parks. It may be more important than ever to check those Disney Park Pass reservations before planning your trip!

So, I’ve already gotten a 7 day pass and made reservations for ALL 7 days while we are there in February. I’m good right? Got a little confused.

At Pecos Bill Cafe on Tuesday. Very crowded, and tables not being cleaned… it was too many people. Everyone waiting on mobile orders outside in the street.. Fantasyland was, well worse. Epcot on Wednesday was better and Animal Kingdom today us manageable. Magic Kingdom made me very uneasy. More food options and capacities on waiting areas are needed.

Our trip is in June 2021. My Dreams travel agent told me to make my park pass reservations as soon as I booked my package. Glad I did so I don’t have to worry about not getting into a park due to capacity limits.

How far in advance can one schedule and obtain “Park Passes” and do “Park Passes” always guarantee park access?
As a DVC member, I can reserve a WDW Villa #11 months in advance, and I generally plan my WDW vacation for #7 to #14 days. If I schedule my trip to WDW for #14 days, can I reserve specific “Park Passes” in advance for all #14 days or the full length of my stay?
Once I have a “Park Pass”, does the pass guarantee my park access?

We’re in the UK and at the moment can order the 7 day or 14 day ultimate ticket but Disney stopped selling the 21 day ultimate ticket. Do you know of Disney will be selling the 21 day ultimate ticket again? Thank you

Why don’t they increase validity days? Increase back to the old time frames!

Jay, as far as I know, Disney hasn’t released that info. We will keep watching for updates.

Bob, a Disney Park Pass does reserve your space in the Park for the day you’ve selected. I don’t see a limit on Disney’s DPP page; the information says “length of stay”. You can make your DPP as soon as you have a room reservation and tickets linked in your My Disney Experience account.

Holly, if you’ve got your Disney Park Pass, you’re all set.

My party has purchased 3 ticket hopper tickets. We have park reservations for the initial parks requested. However, if hopping to another park after 2 pm and we get there and advised cannot enter due to capacity issues, will Disney offer a refund for the hopper upgrade if not able to be used?
DFB Sarah says
Connie, I would expect no, but we’ll have to see what Disney does in practice.
