In case you haven’t noticed, Disney Investor Day is today, and we’ve been sharing tons of exciting entertainment news with you!
From new Star Wars series to new movies to sequels of movies we’ve been waiting forever for, Disney has announced so many awesome upcoming projects today during its Disney Investor Day webcast.
And here’s a brand new project you can expect from Pixar: a movie called Turning Red. It’s directed by Domee Shi, who won an Academy Award for her short film Bao, which made us cry before Incredibles 2 in theaters.
The movie follows Mei Mei, an awkward teenager who turns into a red panda when she gets too excited. AWKWARD indeed!
We’re so excited to see a feature film by Shi! Turning Red is expected to land in theaters on March 11, 2022. We’re covering everything from Disney Investor Day, so stay tuned for even more news!

With the movie Turning Red coming out, it’s probably a great opportunity for Disney to partner with organizations to highlight the issues currently facing our endangered species (Red Pandas) being one of them. It would be great if http://www.redpanda.earth and Disney could work together to save all red pandas! This is a great use case to highlight the plight!
