Although it might not seem like it, some celebrities are JUST LIKE US!
Sure, they eat at restaurants we can’t afford, have lives that are WAY bigger than ours, and release blinged-out Minnie ears that cost hundreds of dollars. But many of them are as obsessed with Disney as we are. And that makes them uber-cool. 😎
So which celebrities love Disney as much as we do? Here are some of our faves!
Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris is probably one of the most widely-known celebrity Disney fans out there! And he has an established presence in Disney Parks! Not only did he get to host a version of World of Color at Disney California Adventure, but he is also a fan favorite Candlelight Processional narrator! And did you know that he was also the last narrator of California Screamin’ at Disneyland (which is now Incredicoaster)?
Additionally, Neil is a MASSIVE fan of EPCOT’s La Cava del Tequila — so much so that he even has his OWN marg served there — the Black Magic Margarita! was the Master of Ceremonies at the Walt Disney Family Museum’s 2nd Gala and helped christen the Disney Fantasy!
Katy Perry
The pop sensation that is Katy Perry grew up in Southern California, where going to Disneyland is a beloved part of many kids’ childhoods. It’s no wonder that Katy spoke at the ceremony that gave Minnie Mouse a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Katy even dressed up for the event in Minnie’s signature red and white polka dots!
As a judge on American Idol, Katy has dressed up as Ursula, Snow White, and Minnie Mouse for Disney Nights on the show! And for one of her birthdays, she had a pizza party in the Cinderella Castle Suite at Disney World. Which is pretty much the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.
Blake Lively
The Gossip Girl star might not seem like it, but she is a massive Disney nerd. This is apparent in many of her Instagram posts, where she will often reference Disney movies (and sometimes even says that certain outfits are inspired by Disney characters — so, yeah, she’s a Disneybounder, too). When she posted the following photo, the caption read “Going for ‘Cinderella post stepsisters tearing up her gown because they hate her’ chic…”
Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, also often celebrate special events at Disneyland and post photos from their trips.
Ariana Grande
Songstress Ariana Grande has performed in a number of Disney Christmas specials and Disney family sing-a-longs. Honestly, it can feel like she’s practically a required guest star at these events the past few years — she seems to ALWAYS show up and perform! She also spent her 21st birthday at Disneyland, which she called “one of my favorite childhood places.”
Ariana also performed a duet version of “Beauty and the Beast” with John Legend for the live-action Beauty and the Beast film!
Emmy Rossum
We knew Shameless star Emmy Rossum was one of us when she posted on her Instagram a photo of her wearing a Mickey ear hat with the caption: “I think I feel more ‘me’ with the ears than without.” SAME, Emmy, SAME!
In an interview with Spin, Emmy also admitted that her favorite song was “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid. Also, did you know she got her start with a little Disney Channel movie called Genius?
Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani is yet ANOTHER celebrity who visits Disney Parks often with her family. She was even part of the 2018 Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade! And she did an AWESOME cover of “The Rainbow Connection” from The Muppet Movie for the We Love Disney album in 2015.
Gwen also partnered with Disney Parks in 2018 for the #ShareYourEars campaign benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Kaley Cuoco
The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has a serious Disney obsession! She celebrated her engagement to Karl Cook at Disneyland. She even celebrated her 33rd birthday there.
We’ve even spotted her on Instagram sipping hot cocoa from a 101 Dalmations mug! Fun trivia: Kaley has done several projects with Disney Channel — she was Brandy on the animated series Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and Elisa in Alley Cats Strike.
Mariah Carey
We can’t mention celebrities who love Disney without mentioning the queen diva herself Mariah Carey! Disneyland is so important to her that she renewed her wedding vows there — and she rented out the entire park to do it! We are TOTES jelly.
She was also present for the christening of the Disney Fantasy and has performed for a variety of Disney events. SING QUEEN. She also posts photos of herself at Disney Parks on Instagram.
Chris Evans
Captain America actor Chris Evans is a massive Disney fan! He’s been spotted at Disney World regularly, but in an interview with Oh My Disney, he talks a LOT about Disney, his favorite Disney snacks (YES!), and his favorite Disney ride (Space Mountain, by the way). He even mentions that he loves Winnie the Pooh!
And then there’s the video of Chris and his brother scaring each other during Thanksgiving this year. If you look carefully, you’ll spot some framed Disneyland art on his walls!
See? Captain America is JUST LIKE US!
Ryan Gosling
This one might come as a surprise, but Ryan Gosling is a massive Disney fan, so much so, that he and Guillermo del Toro once had a full day at Disneyland together (turns out Guillermo loves Disney, too! He was even in talks to make a darker Haunted Mansion movie for a while!). Justl like Guillermo, Ryan is also SUPER obsessed with the Haunted Mansion. How obsessed? Well, he has a STRONG opinion about the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland during Christmas. (Spoiler: he AIN’T a fan!)
Ryan has also taken his wife, Eva Mendes, to Disneyland. His love of Disney makes sense, though — he got his big break as a Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club!
Matthew Morrison
Glee and American Horror Story star Matthew Morrison LOVES Disneyland. He’s celebrated birthdays there and gets spotted there often! He also released an album called Disney Dreamin’ to put his own fresh take on some classic Disney songs!
He also read a Toy Story book as part of Disney’s Storytime video series!
Jason Bateman
Arrested Development‘s Jason Bateman goes to Disneyland — a lot. He loves Disneyland so much that the Disney Parks Blog has covered some of his trips, including one with his daughter where they got to visit Cars Land to celebrate her birthday. He said, “to get the year started right, with a trip to the happiest place on Earth.” We get it!
And of course, he’s the voice of Nick Wilde in Zootopia, and has talked a lot about how much he enjoyed being a part of that movie!
Josh Gad
We LOOOOOOOOOOVE Josh Gad, not just because he’s the voice of Olaf in Frozen and the live-action face of LeFou in Beauty and the Beast, but also because he loves Disney as much as we do! He’s another frequent Disneyland visitor, and often posts photos to his Instagram from there (he posts a lot of Star Wars stuff, too!).
He once surprised fans at Disney World’s Be Our Guest Restaurant and then later surprised fans again by reprising his role as Olaf in the For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong at Hollywood Studios. How amazing is that? And he narrates one of our favorite nature documentaries, Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Paul Scheer
Funnyman Paul Scheer is another huge Disney fan! Like…a BIG fan. SyfyWire did a WHOLE article on him about how much he loves Disney World! That’s some serious dedication! He spoke about being a child and family trips to Disney World, as well as about how much he loves Disney World today!
He said, “Disney was like this amazing, very much a magical place that you could just do whatever you wanted. I didn’t ask myself these tough questions. I was basically like, ‘Ooh, cool, I like that ride. Space Mountain, great. I’m in.'” We’re in, too, Paul. All in!
Rebel Wilson
We’ve seen Rebel Wilson rocking Disney princess shirts, and she has been spotted at Disneyland several times. She even claims that she’s related to Walt Disney! She’s also one of the lucky few — she’s a member of the exclusive Club 33.
For her 40th birthday, Rebel even rented out the ultra-exclusive 21 Royal in Disneyland for a VERY pricey dinner party! Rebel also sang “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid during one of Disney’s sing-a-longs. To top it off, Rebel GOT ENGAGED in Disneyland in February 2023!
Ginnifer Goodwin
Ginnifer Goodwin didn’t just play Snow White in Once Upon A Time, she IS Snow White! She actually tried to get Disney to give her a Club 33 membership when she signed on for the series. The company didn’t agree, but she did eventually get in.
She told The Hollywood Reporter, “I was endlessly begging to join out of my need to see everything Mr. Disney built. Drinking champagne in the to-die-for restaurant, seeing fireworks from the club balcony, being snuck past the crowds with all my loved ones are experiences I do not take for granted.” Also, she’s the voice of Judy Hopps in Zootopia! We wonder if she’s taken her pal Jason Bateman along with her before? After all, Zootopia+ was just announced for Disney+! 🙂
Heidi Klum
Remember those super-expensive Minnie ears we previously mentioned? Those were designer ears by supermodel Heidi Klum. But that’s not the only time she’s shown off how much of a Disney fan she is. She most recently launched a Disney Villains casual clothing collection on Amazon!
She’s also been spotted at Disney Parks having fun with her family and is one of those celebrities often spotlighted on the Disney Parks Blog.
John Stamos
John Stamos is one of those celebrities that might even out nerd US in his level of Disney fandom! Not only is he a regular visitor to Disneyland, but he even proposed to his wife, Caitlin McHugh, there! He also owns a TON of Disneyland memorabilia, including one of the MASSIVE Disneyland entrance signs (he displays the “D” in his back yard!). He outbid Michael Jackson to win the giant sign!
John also has a Dumbo ride vehicle from Disneyland’s Dumbo attraction, a ride vehicle from the Snow White’s Scary Adventures that was in Disney World with Grumpy’s name on it, and a devil from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, a real it’s a small world can-can doll, a real pirate head from Pirates of the Caribbean, and MORE. (He has a Figment animatronic too guys. OH and a candelabra from Haunted Mansion! OK, OK, we’ll stop geeking out!). Plus he gets MAJOR street cred on Full House when, as Uncle Jesse, he rocked the piano in the lobby of the Grand Floridian! He was also a pretty awesome Chef Louis in ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live!
Find, we’re calling it. John Stamos, will you please be our Disney-loving best friend and sing “Forever” to us while we eat churros together? Totally not creepy, right? 😂
So there you have it — celebrities we would all totally get along with because we all love Disney! All walks of life can appreciate faith, trust, and pixie dust, right? 🙂

They may have money to fund and flaunt their “love” for Disney, but there’s nothing like growing up Disney in the real world and having that connection, love and happiness that money can’t buy. Celebrities want us to think they live like normal people but they either forgot (because they’re so consumed in themselves) and/or they don’t care (because they’re sipping their champagne in their multi million dollar mansions while preaching poverty in the nation and global warming while jetting across the world in their gas emitting and planet killing jets). For the family that sacrificed to always make sure they took their kids for the sake of making memories and showed them the love of Disney since birth, it wouldn’t be acceptable by any means to even consider that of all titles, a “celebrity” would or could possibly love or understand what Disney is and has always meant to a regular, hard working, normal person/people like us.

I was gonna be mad if you didn’t include Chris Evans on this list! Glad you did! Especially now with his new role as Buzz Lightyear!!
Alexis says
Loved this article! One fun fact not mentioned about Ryan Gosling is the fact that he was on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (aka MMC)!
Melanie Durham says
This was a fun article , thank you!
Chrissy says
No Zachary Levi? For shame! Jk. But really, dude loves Disney and is a Disney prince!! The BEST Disney prince

Cook, you forget that most of these celebrities did not grow up rich and famous. They had “normal” childhoods and grew to love the Disney parks just like the rest of us. I don’t begrudge them for their fame because I would NEVER want to be famous. For all you get, you loose also. The crazy stalker fans, death threats, not being able to just take your kids to the store without people following your and taking your picture, etc.
Cook says
AG, they do choose that lifestyle so sympathy for them I don’t posses. I’m aware some of them grow up “normal” and that’s good so that they don’t think they’re any level above the rest. All that aside, the real issue is anyone claiming they could possibly be more of a fan than a regular hardworking person who loves Disney and knows much more than they ever could and maybe doesn’t have the money to “live” there or get married ay the castle, rent out Cinderella castle for a “pizza party” or all that “celebrity status” special privilege. Maybe there’s a family that is 100 times the fan they are and can’t make it out to the park for years. Are we going to say they aren’t fans because they can’t afford to visit every week? Just my thoughts, it is what it is lol 😆
Matt Ciccone says
You forgot to mention the best and most random Disney celebrity Fan. George “corpse grinder “ Fisher. The lead singer of the Florida based death metal band Cannibal Corpse. Check his Instagram he’s always posting pics from Disney world.
Deb says
Nathan Fillion is a big Disney fan as well, he wore a Star Wars shirt on one of his episodes of The Rookie and he’s often in the park
Eduardo says
And what about the last guitar héroe SLASH???

To go to DL or WDW was only a dream for my family when I was a child. We so loved the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evening. We never even asked to go as we knew there was no possibility. However, I never begrudged those that could go to Disney or anywhere else. Fast forward: After many years of hard work and making my dreams come true I am able to go to WDW and enjoy the magic. Just love love love it. I am unable to judge the intentions of others that I do not know and to what depth they love and appreciate WDW or DL. We all make choices and to what depth and how we enjoy WDW or DL is not a competion in my opinion.
