Hello, Wilderness Explorers!
We’re headed into the land of animals, adventure, and other worlds! Come check out what’s new at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week!
Animal Kingdom Attraction Update
Kilimanjaro Safaris
We’ve been keeping tabs on the mysterious building that was added to Kilimanjaro Safaris. No official announcement was made about the new building, but it’s in plain sight while riding the attraction. More atmospheric elements have been added to the area since our last visit and our Safari Guide referenced it during our tour this time!
When we passed by this area, the Guide told us a story about bees and elephants and referenced the “beehive fence.” You can also see a sign that indicates that the area is a Warden Post. It’s still not totally clear what’s happening here. Is it a beehive fence? A Warden Post? We’ll keep you updated if we learn more about this curious building!

Discovery Trading Company
We’ve seen the new National Geographic face masks online and now they have arrived at Animal Kingdom! The first design is inspired by blue and white crystalline stones…
…and the second is printed with purple flowers. Both masks have the National Geographic logo located in the bottom corner.
Each mask is $9.99.

We also found the new sparkling Champagne Minnie Mouse Ears at Animal Kingdom. We spotted these beauties all over Disney World and now they’ve arrived at the wildest part of Disney World!
The shiny new ears are $29.99.

The attraction has lost most if not all of the original story and attention to detail. Maybe the are attempting to restore some of the original story elements. A poachers camp…?
Ashley says
It’s an area for dwarf goats! Just left the safari!
