Back in December, we were still taking in all the news that we got from Disney’s Investor Day. And, there is A LOT of content coming soon that we are really, really excited for!
That means fans can expect Raya and the Last Dragon, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Encanto, Lightyear, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahoska, and more (that doesn’t even scratch the surface)! However, Disney has also announced that they will be streaming new shows that aren’t necessarily associated with the brand, including Sunny and Sister Act 3.
One of the biggest surprises from the Investor Day meeting, though, was the upcoming Kardashians-Jenner show, The Kardashians, coming to Hulu in 2022 (which is under the Disney umbrella). While the family announced that their long-running Keeping Up with the Kardashians show would be ending in early 2021 after 20 seasons, it looks like they’re moving on to their next big thing.
The upcoming show will premiere later this year as it streams exclusively on Hulu and internationally on Star. Kim Kardashian also tweeted in early April that the show would debut after the final season of Keeping Up with Kardashians, which matches the 2021 timeline.
We won’t be gone long!! Our new show on @hulu will be coming after the final season https://t.co/ByED1rcvVp

We also just got an official teaser for The Kardashians, and while it isn’t a lot, it’s still a first look at who’s expected to appear on the show.
While we found this particular announcement pretty interesting and unexpected, we wanted to know what our readers thought about the Kardashians-Jenner announcement about joining the Disney family.
We posted a poll on our Instagram page, asking everyone whether they thought the show was cool or if they were less than thrilled about the addition.
And, the response was pretty overwhelmingly against the upcoming Kardashians-Jenner entertainment! The votes in favor of the new content were at 1,552 readers or 13%, while the votes against it were at 10,102 readers or 87%. Since Disney dropped a whole lot of details about Marvel, Star Wars, and other content during Investor Day, the unanticipated announcement may not seems like it fits into the grand scheme of the different shows and movies coming soon for many fans.
However, we’ll still be keeping an eye out for more details about what The Kardashians will entail on Hulu! And, we’ll be sure to update you on all the other content that will be arriving on Disney+, in theaters, and on other platforms too.

Wonder how much disney is paying for this, and how many CMs they could have kept employed instead during the pandemic.

Add me to the no go list. Why would anyone want to watch a bunch of artificial, no talent women parade around the tv screen? I just don’t get it. Disney is losing my interest as far as shows and movies go.
Pamela says
Add me to the NO list as I DO NOT think it is Family entertainment! Does NOT promote Positive Values and their language is NOT Family Friendly for sure. NOT A GOOD FIT FOR DISNEY
Roe says
I totally agree with ALL the negative comments. These women are so “phony” in ever sense of the word – plastic people with no talent at all. Cast members need their jobs with a huge pay increase. Walt Disney would never agree with the change.
Rachel says
The Hulu audience is extremely different from the Disney+ audience. If this was airing on Disney+ I would agree with others, but I think the show is a good fit for Hulu and trash/guilty pleasure reality tv lovers.
Michael says
No thanks…we do not need them
Katie L says
That whole family is a waste of good air.
Katie L says
How much did they pay them?? They should have spent that money on the cast members.
Essie says
Who are the Kardashians anyway? They aren’t celebrities. They have no talent; they just had a rich family member who left them a lot of money. That doesn’t mean that someone is a celebrity.
Joseph Martin says
Disney with its new management agenda and its progressive vide is losing what Walt and Disney stood for, I guess going trash is the thing to do nowadays.
Walt would disapprove, I truly believe that, trash is trash, next thing Disney board will want to bring in Housewives of Disney, or some other inflated egos of the unreal people who do not make Disney what it was but is making it like everything else.
The Disney Stores are gone, something is always “not working”, or “done for repairs”, the board members and management are removed from the true people that made/makes Disney what it was/is and should be, it is moving away from the concepts and and integrity that was always in the Walt Disney name.
Greed and the lack of the Dream, has overshadowed the Disney logo. It has become industrial and faceless, it has lost Walt’s ideas and dream. I will always come back hoping for that small gleam that once was Disney Magic.
Syd says
This is totally repelling to me. What is Disney thinking?
Mike says
Please, they don’t need any more help in degrading themselves. Disney needs to stay out of their self humiliation.
