Disney Cast Members have been significantly impacted by this global pandemic and the closure of the Disney parks.
Earlier this year, the Disney College Program and other programs were temporarily suspended. The 2020 Fall Disney College Program for Disney World and Disneyland were also canceled for the Fall. And now we’ve got an update in terms of the situation moving forward with some of those programs.
Earlier today, Disney, through the official Twitter account of Disney Internships and Programs, shared an update regarding Disney Programs recruitment.
In it, Disney noted that Disney Internships & Programs have been an important part of the Company’s heritage for nearly 40 years. Participants from all over the world have come to Disney World and Disneyland to share their ideas and their talents. Disney noted that they value these important opportunities and noted that Disney internships are “an integral part” of the future of the Company.
But, Disney also shared that they have not recruited participants for the upcoming semesters and are “still uncertain about when [they] will be able to resume [their] Disney Internships & Programs.” Disney encouraged those looking to one day participate in a Disney Internship or special program to connect with disneycareers.com and look for updates on Disney’s social media channels.
So, for the time being, it appears that Disney’s Internship and Programs will continue to be suspended until further notice. We’ll be watching out for any more updates regarding this situation and let you know if there is any further news regarding the return of these programs in the future.

Having international cast members is what makes Epcot so special. Hopefully, now that a non mask believer is not spreading his deceitful musings, Americans will follow the health care leadership and wear masks to reduce US numbers. Then other countries will allow their students to once again come to Epcot and spread their special magic.

I agree with Jim Anthony. We love talking with the EPCOT International cast members and it’s hard to imagine visiting that area of the park without their presence. I suppose the next best thing would be American cast members with those countries in their own cultural background, but it’s not quite the same.
