Earlier this month, a stay-at-home order was issued for Southern California, including Orange County and Anaheim.
The order went into effect when ICU capacity in the region dipped below 15%, which triggered the order via a mandate by the state of California.
For Downtown Disney and Disney California Adventure’s Buena Vista Street, this mandate resulted in retail shops only being allowed to operate at 20% capacity and all food and beverages purchased to be consumed off property.
Currently, Southern California is under a three-week stay-at-home order, but as the region recently reached a record-setting number of daily positive cases, the Orange County Register reports that county health officials believe that the order will last at least another month.
This would likely mean that Disneyland retail shops will have to maintain their 20% capacity and that dining locations can only serve food as takeout or to go for at least another month.
As always, we’ll continue to keep our eye on the situation and keep you updated when we learn more.
