Christmas Week has kicked off in Disney World, and we can barely contain our excitement! ❄️
While there’s going to be a whole list of spots to find holiday goodies in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, we hopped over to EPCOT today to indulge in one of the cutest treats we’ve seen this entire season.
Olaf may have said that Anna was “worth melting for,” but we think that this Christmas treat is totally up there too! The Melting Snowman Cupcake has made an adorable appearance at Sunshine Seasons with holiday flavors and a mini melted snowman. While, yes, this may look like a slice of cake, this mini treat was classified as a cupcake!
When we picked up the dessert at this EPCOT quick-service location, our Cast Member said “I’m so sorry! One of our snowmen melted on top, but hopefully it’s still okay” (which obviously was the cherry on top of a great experience). This treat consists of Vanilla Cake with White Chocolate and Peppermint Mousse.
The “melted snowman” is made with a marshmallow, a sugar snowflake, and chocolate pieces to give it that extra wintery appearance. And, we honestly couldn’t get enough of this cupcake with a balance of peppermint and a hint of sweetness. There were small candy cane pieces in the mousse icing to give it an extra crunch, and there’s a great cake to icing ratio.
If you’re a big fan of icing, you might want to skip this treat in favor of Sunshine Seasons’ other icing-heavy cupcakes. BUT, we will say that we thought the Melting Snowman Cupcake was sooo good, and the balance of cake to toppings was spot on for us.
Since the Melting Snowman Cupcake will only be available during the week on Christmas, you’re going to want to hurry over to EPCOT to grab it for yourself for $5.99. And, we’ll take you with us throughout the week to check out the rest of the Christmas treats and eats coming to the parks soon!

How is this a cupcake and not a slice of cake…?

I like the pistachio-chai tea float at MK. The Christmas tree cupcake is also good at starbucks in MK

Addie, it’s definitely cake, but Disney called it a cupcake, so we called it a cupcake. I have an editor revisiting the terminology. Thanks for flagging.
