EPCOT is getting some fantastic new rides, a new fireworks show, and so much more as part of the big EPCOT Transformation!

And on TOP of all of that, EPCOT is also getting a beautiful new entrance fountain with fantastic, clear pylons! We’ve seen a bit of the pylons from the sky and the ground, and we even spotted them on the EPCOT map, but they’ve been mostly covered up with some construction walls…until today!
The walls around the fountain are GONE and we’ve finally gotten the chance to see the new fountain in all its glory (and it is glorious)!

When we entered EPCOT today and made our way through the entrance and over toward Spaceship Earth, we saw that the construction walls were down near the new fountain, and we were met by the beautiful sight of these gorgeous, clear pylons and a full look at the fountain!

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has previously explained that the design team “took special interest in looking back to the original geometry for inspiration and infusing new features with a little bit of added magic to bridge the past, present and future of EPCOT.”

They’re modern but still have that retro feel, and are a beautiful new addition to the entrance of this park.

Manhole Cover
The fountain joins other completed aspects of the EPCOT transformation like the new film in the Canada Pavilion and the new film in the Land Pavilion. Still to come is the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, Ratatouille attraction, and many other new areas for everyone to enjoy!

This is such an improvement and truly something to be grateful for this holiday season, a tribute to the origins of Epcot while removing the hideous Leave a Legacy slabs. Anything would have been an improvement, but this is perfect.
That is the lamest low energy fountain I have ever seen
I like it, kinda cool, I like the light streaming up through it but it is too small in relationship to the Spaceship Earth sphere. Oh well.. looking forward to the new Canada and Land presentations. I really enjoy traveling to another country and learning about it.
Although a wonderful sight, fountain isn’t the first word I think of. Not sure what the first word I think of is, but fountain isn’t it . . .
