Disney World is a snacker’s paradise, but obvi not ALL snacks are made the same, and not all snacks are necessarily worth your while!
In a land of iconic treats, there are inevitably going to be some worthwhile hits, and some…meh? To really dig in, we conducted a scientific study (aka conducted an Instagram poll) to determine the most underrated and overrated snacks in Disney World!
Num Num Cookies. Mickey Bars. DOLE WHIP. Ring a bell? Not that snacks like these really need an introduction, but these are some of the MOST iconic bites in Disney World. But which ones are overrated? And which are underrated? We asked YOU to find out, and here’s what you said! Let’s just say you didn’t show any mercy for Blue and Green Milk…
Overrated
Mickey Bars
There are a LOT of ice cream treats at Disney World, in all shapes, sizes, flavors, and forms! Maybe that’s why you don’t really have time for the good ol’ Mickey Bar?
These chocolate-coated vanilla bars are classic, sure, but it seems 52% of you also might equate “classic” as “basic.”
We get it. When it comes to scream-worthy ice cream, it’s hard to complete with exotic soft-serve floats and pepperminty ice cream sammies!
Blue and Green Milk
Got milk? Nope! The Blue and Green Milk at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are proving to be one of the most divisive drinks at Disney!
According to these slightly ruthless poll results, a whopping 80% of responses said these Milk Stand sips are overrated!
Perhaps it’s just too difficult to wrap one’s mind around the concept of drinking nearly-neon “milk,” but y’all aren’t having it. Or maybe you’re just saving your thirst for Oga’s Cantina? Either way, the Blue and Green Milk ranked as the MOST overrated snacks!
LeFou’s Brew
Oh, LeFou. You get an “A” for effort, and for the creative novelty of combining apple juice with marshmallow, and passion fruit-mango foam! That’s some seriously wild stuff for a tavern in the fictional French countryside.
But maybe it’s a little too wild? 54% of you think this booze-free “brew” is overrated.
But let’s face it. LeFou’s Brew is VERY sweet, so it’s quite possible that most of you would simply rather fill your sugar quota elsewhere in the park (like Aloha Isle, apparently…).
Underrated
Num Num Cookies
Our LOVE for Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookies at Hollywood Studios is well documented, and we stand by these deep-dish chocolate-y treats!
Happily, it appears that most of you agree, and 56% of you think these EPIC cookies are underrated snacks!
It makes sense, too. On paper, a chocolate chip cookie like this seems kinda run-of-the-mill by Disney’s whimsical standards, but one bite is sure to make you a convert FOREVER, and prove that these guys live up to their yummy names!

Pongu Lumpia
One of the more surprising results of the poll was the positive enthusiasm you showed for the Pongu Lumpia at Animal Kingdom! These crispy spring roll-style snacks, filled with pineapple cream cheese, could easily slip into wonky territory. Or at least get overshadowed by the Cheeseburger Pods at nearby Satu’li Canteen.
But lo and behold, 62% of responses think they’re underrated!
We’re glad to hear it! Like many of the snacks throughout Animal Kingdom, the Pongu Lumpia represent a kind of bold ingenuity and creativity, and we’re here for it! Every crispy, creamy, crunchy bite!
Cheshire Cat Tail
Like we mentioned, Magic Kingdom is FILLED with destination-worthy sweet treats! Even though most of you pass on LeFou’s Brew, the Cheshire Cat Tail is one colorful confection that lives up to the hype!
57% of you think this unique snack is underrated! We love this thing, and we love you for agreeing!
A standby at Cheshire Cafe (or other restaurants around the park while Cheshire Cafe remains closed), this guy is a soft and flaky pastry filled with cream and chocolate chips, then zig-zagged with pink and purple icing! It’s as tasty as it is colorful!
Dole Whip
The mighty Dole Whip! This pineapple-flavored soft-serve icon served at Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle needs no introduction, but when one snack commands such a global following, the true test is to see whether it’s overrated or underrated.
The hype is VERY real, and VERY worthwhile, because 60% of you think Dole Whip is underrated!
Considering its omnipresence in the lexicon of Disney snack lore, calling Dole Whip underrated is QUITE an accolade, and we FULLY agree! You really can’t go wrong with pineapple-scented ice cream!
Welp! There you have it! We asked, you answered, and you DID NOT HOLD BACK on the Blue and Green Milk!
The most overrated and underrated attractions at Disney World, according to YOU!

Jeff Richardson says
I love LaFou’s Brew and could totally do without the Cheshire Cat Tail. I agree with the rest.
Janet says
I love them all and don’t think any is overrated, BUT the original Mickey ice-cream bar that was not “premium” and had cute chocolate ice-cream eyes, nose, and smile and just a thin chocolate coating only the ears was far better than the huge, messy, heavy, expensive Mickey Premium Bar. I am old but have always preferred the smaller treats. That way you can have more different ones in one day and still take a spin on the Tea Cups.

I am here for the Churros!!! Disneyland underrated WDW overrated. Hahaha
