We’ve recently seen Disney Springs pretty crowded, especially on weekends!
But today, when we decided to pop into World of Disney (and found those new Chinese New Year Minnie Ears–WINNING!) we felt like Disney Springs was busier than we’ve seen it since the resort reopened!
We knew Disney Springs was crowded when we approached the main security area. There were LOADS of people waiting there!
However, we have to give Disney security props — we got through the temperature check pretty quickly once we reached it. It only took maybe a minute at most! And then we were headed into Disney Springs.
But inside, Disney Springs was even more crowded. Apparently, this is where the post-holiday crowds have come.

We were on a mission, though — to get inside World of Disney. So we took advantage of the upgraded Virtual Line system for the store. This is a super handy system that lets us scan a QR code from any of the multiple signs throughout Disney Springs to virtually check-in to get into the store. There was also a physical line for the store that was separate from the virtual line.
Having joined the virtual queue, we decided to wander around and get more photos and videos of the crowds while we virtually waited.
Yeah, it was busy.

But within 30 minutes, we received a text notification that it was time to head back to World of Disney for our shopping time. At this point, the stand-by line for the ride…er…um…STORE…had a 30 minute posted wait time! There was a posted wait time…FOR A STORE.
We were directed to go into the virtual line queue, where we only waited three minutes to get into World of Disney.
So here’s a tip: if you’re wanting to shop at World of Disney at Disney Springs, ALWAYS use the Virtual Line system! It will save you from having to stand in a real line for a long time. And while you’re waiting to get called into the store, you can do other things, like have some drinks and snacks or, you know, keep shopping!
From the surprisingly low crowds yesterday to the crazy crowds today, things sure are changing it up on us in Disney World! We’ll continue to keep you updated on the crowds during this historically busy time in the parks.
