As always, Disney has plans to LOAD US UP with new movies next year. With everything from a new Pixar film to a FEW installations in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we have lots to look forward to in 2021.
But, with the global health crisis and Disney’s shift to streaming, some of these flicks are coming to Disney+. We’ll be watching some from our couches, some in the theaters, and we’ll have a choice with others. Here’s where you can see all the 2021 Disney movies!
Flora & Ulysses
The first Disney movie of 2021 debuted on February 19th. Flora & Ulysses is a cute tale about a 10-year-old comic book fan named Flora who rescues a squirrel with superpowers — that’s Ulysses!
This flick debuted EXCLUSIVELY on Disney+, so get ready to get settled in your jammies to watch.

Raya and the Last Dragon
We were SUPER excited to see Raya and the Last Dragon when it debuted as the latest film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. This movie was originally set to release in 2020 but was delayed to March of 2021 due to the global health crisis.
Raya and the Last Dragon debuted on March 5th in theaters AND on Disney+ with the same premier access feature used for the recent live-action Mulan. Disney+ subscribers are able to pay $29.99 to watch the film.

Black Widow
In May, a MUCH anticipated film will finally be released. Black Widow was supposed to premiere in 2020 but saw several delays that pushed it all the way into 2021.
Now, we’ll catch this Avenger origin story on July 9th. It will be available on Disney+ with Premier Access, but it will also release in theaters that same day.

Cruella
One upcoming film that has been in development for a while is Cruella, telling the origin story of 101 Dalmatians‘ Cruella de Vil. The film features Emma Stone in the titular role telling a villain backstory like never before.
Cruella is set to release on May 28th, and like Black Widow, we’ll see it playing in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access.

Luca
Yay! 2021 is bringing us a new Pixar film! We’re still riding the high of seeing Soul released on Disney+ last Christmas, so will the next film get the same treatment?
Pixar’s upcoming movie is called Luca and is set to release on June 18th! It’ll stream exclusively on Disney+ with NO added fee. No Premier Access needed here!

Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise was initially set to release in the Summer of 2020 but was delayed due to the global health crisis. We’re super excited for this Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt-led flick based on the punniest Disney attraction around.
Though Disney has made no mention as to how this film will be released, we’re expecting that it will release in theaters on July 30th as it is set to be one of Disney’s big summer blockbusters (and since that’s where it was previously set to be released).

The Beatles: Get Back
Disney is also currently working with Peter Jackson on a documentary based on The Beatles. We got to see a sneak peek of The Beatles: Get Back recently and it made us pretty excited about this upcoming flick.
The documentary will release in theaters on August 27th.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
The next Marvel movie on the docket is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This film, based on the Shang-Chi comics, will debut on September 3rd.
As of now, this flick is scheduled for a theatrical release — but that could change. We’ll keep you posted with any updates.

This flick is set to usher in a new generation of Marvel supers on November 5th. As of now, Disney has made no mention of whether the film will come to theaters or Disney+.

Encanto
We JUST heard about the release of the next Walt Disney Animation Studios film after Raya and the Last Dragon. Encanto will tell the story of a magical family set in Colombia.
This film will release on November 24th. That’s a WHILE from now. If theatrical releases are the norm once again, then we expect we’ll be catching this flick in the theaters but Disney has not specified.
