We’re constantly making our way around all of the Disney World theme parks and resorts to see what’s new, and today our adventure brings us to beautiful Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates

The Emporium

Christmas may be over already, but the time to stock up on Disney holiday merchandise is NOW! We’ve seen select holiday merchandise on sale in the past, but during our trip today to Magic Kingdom, we walked into the Emporium and saw that you can now get  70% OFF select holiday merchandise!

That’s some BIG savings. So, if there was an item or two you had on your wish list but didn’t get before, you’ll want to check if it qualifies for this sale and grab it while you can with this great discount.

We also spotted this sale going on in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and expect it will be available at the other parks and resorts, so be sure to check for it if you’ll be in the parks soon.

At the Emporium, we also noticed that the new 2021 Merchandise has taken over where the main Christmas display was.

So, it seems it’s out with Christmas and 2020, and in with the new year!

Bwana Bob’s

Over in Adventureland, we stopped by the Bwana Bob’s kiosk and found something spooktacular — a Haunted Mansion fan! Is this haunted fan actually keeping you cool while being totally stylish? It isn’t your imagination!

The fan is covered in that signature purple and black Mansion wallpaper, and can be a really fun (and useful) souvenir. Magic Kingdom General Updates

Santa’s Still Here!

In terms of other updates from around Magic Kingdom, we did notice that Santa was still making his way around Magic Kingdom as part of the holiday cavalcades. We were glad to still be able to wave to Jolly Old Saint Nicholas!

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ve seen Santa Goofy assume some of Santa’s cavalcade duties, but it seems Kris Kringle has just enough time left in his busy schedule for a few guest greeting duties.

Disney is celebrating and creating all kinds of holiday magic through December 31st, 2020, so if you’re headed to the parks today or tomorrow, be sure to soak in all that very merry holiday fun while it’s still available.

Finally, we did make our way around Magic Kingdom and got a feel for the holiday crowds and lines.

There were some longer lines and bigger crowds in certain areas, but some emptier spaces elsewhere.

In Fantasyland, there were some especially BIG lines over at Mad Tea Party and Winnie the Pooh — so much so that the lines almost merged together. But one of the longest lines we saw was for Space Mountain. That line went ALL the way back to Tomorrowland Speedway!! With social distancing, lines can definitely take up a LOT of space.

If you’re headed to Disney World right now for some New Year’s Eve festivities, you’ll just want to keep that in mind and be on the lookout for where certain lines start — as they may begin a bit further away from the attraction than you might expect.
