The world is still contending with the global health crisis as 2020 comes to a close.
Florida has seen over one million total COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, and now, the state has reported the highest number of daily COVID-19 cases on record.
According to Orlando Sentinel, New Year’s Eve brought Florida’s report of 17,192 cases — more than have ever been reported before in a single day in the state. This brings the state’s total for positive COVID-19 cases up to 1,323,315.
December holds the record for the month with the most dates with high COVID-19 numbers. The previous record was held by July with the highest tally of around 15,000 cases in a day.
The case rate in Florida means that roughly one in 16 people in the state’s 21.5 million population have now tested positive for the virus. Nationally, the averages are around one in 17, and internationally, the average is around one in 94.
The COVID-19 vaccine is currently in the process of rolling out. Over 211,000 Florida residents have received the first round of vaccination. We’ll bring you more major pandemic updates and how they affect Disney World as we know them.

This annoys the crap out of me.
Did they test positive? Or were they sick? I’m sorry.u there is a difference. It is a fact that 99% of of people with C-19 show no symptoms. So. Which is it?
This virus is here to stay just like the annual flu. I’m sure i get the flu every year but I never get sick.
This is just getting old.

This doesn’t surprize me at all since Florida basically has no laws or rules as to wearing masks or any other state government mandates to keep people safe. And, what with the news telling of the Florida government steering most vaccines to the wealthier counties leaving regular folks without, it’s for these reasons that we won’t be traveling to WDW any time soon, & if we were, we certainly wouldn’t venture outside the Disney bubble with their good, strict rules for their guests toi abide by.
