We’ve seen some pretty big changes since Disney World reopened last summer!
We’ve watched park capacity increase from 25 to 35 percent, we’ve seen more crowds at the parks, and we’ve seen the return of park hopping!
So it makes sense that Disney would survey guests about their experiences as things continue to change into the New Year. And we recently got a new survey that asked us all about our experiences at EPCOT — most specifically about crowds, mobile check-out, and Park Pass Reservations. The survey asked a question about congestion and crowding at EPCOT and if it makes getting around the park difficult.
Another question asked us if we agree or disagree with the statement that “EPCOT is too crowded.”
Another question was about Park Pass Reservations and asked us if EPCOT was our first choice for a park pass reservation for the day of our visit.
One question asked us how we felt about visiting the theme parks, considering the current situation with the global health pandemic.
Then it was on to questions about Mobile Checkout. We answered a series of questions about how we first learned about mobile checkout, and how likely we would be to use mobile checkout in the future.
We were also asked when we decided to use the mobile checkout feature, and what impact the experience had on our shopping experience at Mouse Gear as a whole.
After giving us an opportunity to type in a response about why we felt this impact, we were asked about how likely we would be to use mobile checkout again…
…as well as how easy we thought the process was to understand. There was also a question about if we felt it was faster than regular checkout.
The next series of questions asked us about characters at EPCOT, as well as entertainment. Here, we were asked how we felt about character experiences outside of character dining and cavalcades.
The next question delved into current general atmosphere entertainment at EPCOT, including street theater groups, musical groups, and other performing groups either onstage or offstage, including entertainment at America Gardens Theatre.
We were then specifically asked how we felt about the character cavalcades at the park.
These questions suggest that Disney World is looking for guest feedback on some of the most recent changes made in the parks, including last fall’s capacity increase, how mobile checkout is working (or not working) for guests, and if EPCOT is guests’ first choice of park or if they’re visiting because the other parks are full.
We’ll let you know if we see any other surveys come up with the other parks, and let you know what kind of feedback Disney is looking for!

EPCOT was one of our family’s favorite parks especially during Spring & Fall festivals however, not so much anymore. They last several visits (before the Pandemic) found EPCOT to be very crowded and not so enjoyable. Constantly weaving your way through crowds is no fun. Add that quite a few of the guests had indulged at little too much and were obnoxious wasn’t a plus either.
Our family is visiting DW in a few weeks and EPCOT is not on the itinerary.
