Greetings from the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! We’re traveling all across World Showcase to check out this year’s food booths, entertainment, and more! After visiting booths like Festival Favorites, The Painted Panda, and Mosaic Canteen, we’re STILL hungry for more!
Our next stop was The Masterpiece Kitchen in the Canada Pavilion, where you can eat and drink while jamming with the JAMMitors on the Mill Stage!
The Masterpiece Kitchen is returning this year to the Canada Pavilion, much to our delight! This booth has been home to several Best of the Fest selections from years past, so our hopes were VERY high that The Masterpiece Kitchen would deliver once again.
Their menu is full of returning favorites, including some of our top picks from the 2020 Festival of the Arts!
Was the food just as tasty as we remember? Let’s find out!
Food
Returning this year is a Masterpiece Kitchen Staple, the Wild Mushroom Risotto with aged parmesan, truffle shavings and Zinfandel reduction.
This dish was a 2019 Best of the Fest honoree and is an excellent vegetarian option that’s super rich in flavor! It’s back at The Masterpiece Kitchen for $9.25.
Another returning dish this year to The Masterpiece Kitchen is the Smoked Salmon and Cream Gâteau with egg yolk cream, paddlefish caviar and micro-herbs. Basically, it’s a seafood lover’s dream.
This dish is truly a LOOKER and a remarkable example of how visually stunning these dishes are at Festival of the Arts! This dish made our Best of the Fest list at LAST YEAR’S Festival of the Arts, so we’re thrilled to see it return for 2021 for $7.
For dessert, we picked up their Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta. This is the “Pink” dish for those keeping score with their Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine guide!
This dish gives off serious Beauty and the Beast vibes and is one of the prettiest desserts we’ve seen! This was another Best of the Fest selection at the 2020 Festival of the Arts, so we were anxious to return to The Masterpiece Kitchen to try it again for $8.
The rose shell itself is white chocolate and the only pistachio is found in the crumbs on the outside, which wasn’t super flavorful. Once you break inside the rose, we found the mousse to be very delicious, creamy, and not too sweet! You could definitely taste the rose water with offers a unique flavor at this year’s festival.
The vanilla can be found in the TINY little white piece at the center of the rose, and we thought it was nice and sweet! The rose also comes with a raspberry filling as well as a sparkly glitter raspberry sauce on the dish with the Pistachio crumbs.
Overall, it wouldn’t be a Festival of the Arts without the Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta, so we’re always delighted to bite into it every January!
Beverages
The Masterpiece Kitchen has a variety of wines to compliment each food item, along with a few beer selections as well! Pair your food dishes with Weihenstephaner Original Lager, Freising (Germany), Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Brut Champagne, The Meeker Vineyard Winemakers’ Handprint Merlot (Sonoma County, CA), Pinord La Dama Reserva Familiar Brut (Spain), Pinord La Dama Reserva Familiar Brut Rosé (Spain), and a Classic Sidecar with a Chocolate Twist, which was one of our very first Festival of the Arts Best of the Fest selections!
