Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of merchandise, entertainment, crowd, and construction updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
The Emporium
When you’re trying to find the perfect gift to take home to your friends and family members, we all have those people that are a little more difficult to shop for usually. But, the Emporium has new phone cases that are more on the subtle side with just a hint of Disney! The Mickey Card Holder Phone Case is a gray and blue case with a small Mickey silhouette…
…and the Minnie version is gray and pink with a tiny Minnie silhouette to go along with it! Each of the cases serve as a phone protector AND a mini wallet with room for two cards for $24.99 each.
You can also pick up the Disney Dog Phone Case for your loved ones who adore their pups. As Pluto peeks up over the case to greet you, dog lovers can enjoy a bunch of themed decorations like bones, ropes, and chew toys for $34.99.
Frontier Trading Post
We initally found these phone cases in the Emporium but they were also hanging out on the shelves over at the Frontier Trading Post!
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
The Rivers of America looks a bit different since the water was drained. As Cast Members conduct routine maintenance on the area, we noticed that there was something missing during our visit to the Magic Kingdom!
The Harper’s Mill sign from Tom Sawyer Island had been taken down and a bunch of scaffolding is now surrounding the building. The sign could be going under a few refurbishments of its own with an extra coat of paint or two. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the Harper’s Mill sign soon!
Magic Kingdom Entertainment Update
If you’re heading to a theme park, it’s almost a given you’ll probably experience a few technical difficulties at attractions during your visit. While we were in the Magic Kingdom, Space Mountain had a temporary closure that started in the morning and lasted throughout the entire day.
(However, the attraction has since reopened so guests can blast off into space in the Magic Kingdom!)
Find out all the details of Space Mountain’s temporary closure here!
Magic Kingdom Crowd Update
The weekend crowds were somewhat busier than we had seen during the week, which is pretty normal for Disney World’s parks! Some of the attractions had longer lines, like 80 minutes for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train…
…while quick-service locations around the Magic Kingdom were also hopping with guests! The Joffrey’s Coffee spot in Tomorrowland had an extended queue…
…as multiple guests also returned to Gaston’s Tavern (a cinnamon roll sounds amazing right about now)!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Magic Kingdom! We’ll catch you next time for more crowd, entertainment, merchandise, and construction updates. And, if you have any questions about your upcoming Disney vacation, let us know so we can help you find the answers!
