Early last year, Disney Cruise Line began suspending some of its sailings due to the global pandemic.
Disney officials did note that the cruise line would be the last of Disney’s businesses to return. Most recently, Disney Cruise Line canceled sailings through February of 2021, but we also saw that they had removed March sailings from their website. Now, Disney Cruise Line has extended the cancelation of their sailings through more of 2021.
Disney is still working to prepare for a return to service following the guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For the time being, however, Disney Cruise Line is canceling all sailings departing through March 2021.
Sailings are canceled on the Disney Cruise Line ships as follows:
- Disney Dream through March 29th,
- Disney Magic through March 29th,
- Disney Wonder through March 28th, and
- Disney Fantasy through March 27th.
If your cruise is affected by this cancelation and you have paid for your reservation in full, Disney is giving you the choice of a 125% future cruise credit that can be used for a future sailing before May 31, 2022. The credit is set to be automatically applied to your account. Alternatively, you can get a full refund.
If you haven’t paid in full, you will automatically receive a refund of what you’ve paid so far. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Disney directly or reach out to the travel professional that you booked your cruise with.
Although the CDC’s No-Sail Order has expired, the new regulations that have been put in place by the CDC for future cruising are quite strict. Disney’s CEO, Bob Chapek, had noted in the past that these regulations would delay their return to sailing more than they had hoped. But, Chapek noted that they are remaining positive and believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
We’ll be on the lookout for any more updates regarding Disney Cruise Line and let you know what we see.

I stand by my earlier prediction: Disney will keep cancelling cruises month by month, while keeping your deposit.
I can’t wait to see how little Disney will sell their ships for.

I personally don’t think disney cruises will resume until at ast the end of 2021 at the earliest.
