Things are constantly changing over at Disney World, including over at Disney Springs.
Recently, Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew opened, and Gideon’s Bakehouse held its grand opening. But, just as some things open, other things close. The Kiehl’s store in Disney Springs closed last week, and now the Kipling store is set to close as well.
We visited Disney Springs today to see what’s new. While we were there, we stopped by the Kipling store, located in the Town Center area. Kipling sells all kinds of designer handbags, backpacks, luggage, and more.
While we were there, we spoke to a Cast Member there who told us that the Kipling store in Disney Springs will be closing this weekend. The store will actually have its last day of operation in Disney Springs on January 23rd, 2021.
So, if you’re looking to grab some items at Kipling in Disney Springs, be sure to stop by soon before they close.
Although Kipling is closing, other spots are moving forward in terms of an eventual opening at Disney Springs. Recently, we got news about some exclusive items that will be available at the M&M’s Store when it opens in Disney Springs. We’re keeping our eyes open for any more updates about the dining and shopping locations at Disney Springs, and we’ll let you know when we find any more information.

Another one bites the dust… these kinds of stores look great… lots of eye candy… but do nothing for 95% of the guests that walk thru Disney Springs. I remember when the Magnet Store and Staribelia’s was on the west side. Standing room only inside these stores, and I bought things from both. Visited every time, but i never visit the clothing stores that are in Disney Springs now and I visit 10 times more now than then…

These stores are too high end for Disney Springs’ shoppers. People spend tons of money to come to WDW. And souviniers are already expensive enough. Disney needs to realize we need items we can afford.

Is there another place where Kipling Disney merchandise can be purchased?

No great loss. These overpriced “two girls, two dresses” type shops just waste space.

I agree with the commentary that some of the high end stores really do little for a great deal of the customer traffic in DS. We fly in, already spending a lot of money and although some offer beautiful, unique, Disney themed items we have to skip the $200 Pooh backpack. I looked at a Coach Mickey backpack for $800, I loved it! When I thought about what I could do with that amount of money while on vacation, I had to walk away. I’m not saying that they don’t have a place among consumers but I think that the percent of consumers actually purchasing items is probably not enough to sustain operations. I did love looking around, At least Kilpings was somewhat more affordable and provided a Disney atmosphere. I will miss the store.
