Spring at Disney often means one thing for runners — runDisney events!

Recently, runDisney just shared a sneak peek at the medal for the upcoming Princess Half Marathon Weekend, and they didn’t stop there! Today we got a first look at the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon medal!

Like other runDisney race weekends in 2020 and 2021, the race weekend was converted into a virtual event for runners to participate anywhere and earn their medals. Though, there’s a notable difference for this Star Wars Rival Run Weekend — Disney announced that the event will be reimagined in 2022.

The Star Wars Virtual Half medal was revealed by runDisney today and it just might be the motivator you need to keep up those training runs! The medal features a spinning Death Star, flipping between the interior specs and the exterior. It’s a pretty awesome medal and just might make you run for the dark side!

Race medals are a great way to commemorate your run and this one is sure to help you remember the Star Wars Weekend once it becomes a distant memory of a galaxy far, far away!
