We have a feeling this new merch trend might take Disney fans by storm…

nuiMOs are adorable, posable, dressable, and collectible mini plushes that have been popular in Japan for some time. Now, Disney nuiMOs have made their way to the domestic theme parks and while we’re excited to see them in person, we are a bit taken back by the price.

We headed into Mickey’s of Hollywood today to see if we could spot the new nuiMOs plushes after they arrived on shopDisney this morning. Sure enough, there was a whole display of these new little buddies.

Today, we’re able to snag Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Stitch, and Angel plushes, along with an assortment of outfits and accessories to mix and match. Going forward, new accessories, outfits, and plush will be released on the first Monday of each month (beginning February 1st).

Even without the added outfits, these little plushes are pretty darn adorable.

They’re pretty small plushes — perfect for toting around!

PLUS, you can snag extra clothes to make your new pals even more stylish. But this is where these new Disney toys really start to add up. The options include stylish and seasonal outfits for $12.99 each, little tiny nuiMOs backpacks by Loungefly for $19.99 each, and little nuiMOs Spirit Jerseys for $19.99 each. Yes. A small spirit jersey for a doll is almost $20!

The outfits come as little sets that sometimes contain accessories like headbands or shoes.

This ‘fit is giving us MAJOR Daisy vibes.

The sets are made so that you can mix-and-match as you collect more clothes for your little nuiMOs buddies.

This shirt’s got it right — it IS a lovely concept.

But as we’ve said, buying all these cute clothes won’t necessarily come cheap. At $12.99 a pop, your nuiMOs’ wardrobe could REALLY. add up.

But maybe it’s worth it for how cute they’ll look? We don’t know. We don’t think so? What do you think?

Since new clothing offerings are regularly released, there are seasonal offerings too! Right now, that means Chinese New Year outfits.

We can’t get OVER these little tiny Loungefly backpacks. But remember, these little pieces of plastic are $20… . It makes them seem a little less cute in our opinion.

Same with the spirit jerseys. Cute, yes. Overpriced? Also, yes.

We spotted all of these plushes at Mickey’s of Hollywood in Disney’s Hollywood Studios but they are likely available elsewhere too. While these new plush and their accessories are adorable, we can’t get over just how pricey it is to dress them up. What do you guys think? Are they adorably worth it? Or are they WAY overpriced?
